  1. Hi, Was wondering if anyone has an idea on what is an ideal configuration for a dictation server? I have a Dual Xeon 3..0 Ghz, 3GB DDR2 RAM, 2 x 250gb SATA II HDDs running Windows 2003 Standard SP1. I want to install DD to handle up to 12 simulataneous calls. Is this a sufficient configuration ? I also have one SQL dB active on this which has pretty active usage. Only one website runs on this server which is a reporting tool retrieving information from this DB. No mail service runs on the server. The average 30minute processor load is 7% or less but the RAM is generally at about 70% usage due the DB. Any help will be immensely appreciated Thanks Bijal
  2. Hi, I'm looking to purchase and install Dial Dictate behind Axon. Strangely I havent found a simple installation quide anywhere about setting up Axon (all requried settings) and Dial Dictate thereafter to receive from Axon. I will create and upload one here once I have bought, installed and setup these two applications but in the mean while if anyone has done this before and has any pointers for me, it will be great. The intended configuration is this: Server: Intel Dual Core 3GHz, 3GB RAM, Windows 2003 Server Bandwith: Multiple OC3 Lines (server farm) Phone Line: Vonage or Packet8 VOiP - concurrent inbound lines allowed = 16 The setup I would like is as below: Axon takes the call and automatically routes it the first available extention (any of out 16 setup) which in turn transfers it to Dial Dictate (how does this happen???). The caller uses his userid in DD to create a new dictation and records dictation and exits as usual. Any help here would save me time... I will upload a detailed, step by step manual once I have done it myself for any future users who might find themselves in a similar predicament. Thanks
