  1. Sorry for the delay. I resaved my project with new name and whittled it down to one sequence. After doing that, the audio tracks behaved the way they should. I actually finished my original video using the work around I mentioned earlier. Every sequence in the video behaved the same way (snapping back) all the way thru. Really strange. So, now that I've got ready to post a small portion with a shared link for you to analyze, the problem is gone, so I guess that is good news, but puzzles me as to what I did to cause it. Oh well... thanks Borate so much for your help! Really appreciate the fast responses. Will not be doing one of this size again until next summer. Thanks again!
  2. Thanks borate! Will try to send one sequence. Right now I was attempting an export and all sequences (10 of them) say "processing" and I can't do anything. My total project length is about 2 hours and contains 4k video and photos, so I imagine the resulting project size will be huge.
  3. Thanks borate for the information. Excellent advice on saving as. However, I tried what you suggested (close, restart, clear cache files and then load project, and the behavior is still the same. Once the audio is placed on a track, it cannot be moved. The only way is to place on track at the cursor and hope it's perfect, cause it "'aint movin". Continues to snap back to original position. I noticed there was a new version of VP today, so updated to v.11.80, but still works the same way. Bewildering that is isn't the same on your end... who knows!
  4. My snapping is occurring with additional audio I am adding on a separate track (background music), not on the video clip's audio. It will not stay where I put it. It snaps back to the start position of the entire video. The only work-around I have come up with is to put it back into the bin and put it on the track where my cursor is. From that point on, it cannot be moved. It will snap back to this location every single time I try to move it. Thanks for the undo instructions. Looked for it everywhere, but obviously not there! Thanks!
  5. I have used VP for several years, but just got restarted after abt 3 years of not doing videos. The new version that I purchased v 11.74 64-bit has a behavior that I cannot stop. It is continually snapping my audio files to the same place, whether dragging left or right. I have read a few previous posts, and have tried holding the <shift> key. That does not work. Nor does holding the <alt> key while dragging. I have also tried reinstalling (three times) and still have the same behavior. There has got to be a setting somewhere that I am missing. Help!! Also, I know the old version I had three years ago had an "undo" button. This one does not, unless again I am missing something. Thanks for any help. Dave
  6. Thanks Nat. That may have been the issue. A couple of sequences down the road and it took hold, and now is OK. Dave
  7. Just downloaded the trial version 3.10 because I was totally frustrated with Windows Movie Maker. VideoPad is miles ahead of MM as far as versatility. I have encountered a problem... I am adding several photos to my video project. They always have a duration of 3 seconds. I have gone to options and set the default to 6 seconds for photos, and they are all still automatically being added with 3 seconds duration. I have closed and reopened the program, and still not holding. I have many photos to add. It would be very time-consuming to change each one individually. I may be missing something?? Thanks for any advice.
