Followup - after much fussing, I finally deleted everything related to Express Scribe I could find, and downloaded a new archive of the demo. That runs just fine, so I think I must have gotten the Pro version mixed in somehow. Jeff

I am using the Mac version of Express Scribe. Clearly, from the homepage, this is a free program - and I've downloaded the free version using the link from the homepage. However, when it opens now, it says my 14 day trial has expired and I have to purchase a licence. I'm confused - why is the version that is listed a "Free" on the homepage demanding a registration code? I like the program, but I'm doing volunteer transcriptions for a non-profit and I can't recommend a program to our other volunteers if it acts like a bait-and-switch... (apologies for this characterization if I've done something odd in the installation process and got the Pro version by mistake, but I don't think that's the case.) Jeff
