  1. These guys are out of Australia. I don't think they answer the forum even for stuff related to operating their software.
  2. soundcards can't record and play with just its driver buy a 3.5mm stereo male to male cable google to see what it looks like connect one end to headphone jack and other end to microphone in
  3. If that doesn't work... It going to be a codec issue. Your camcorder is not campatible with Videopad. They resolve it in this link below. Videopad is not converting the moi just copying it which doesn't play using that player.. http://uk.answers.ya...30150255AAuo4Vm Try to download the camcorders software from its website. They should be able to convert it. Google the word... driver and your windows version and name of camcorder. Only go to official website for software If none of that works...look into this post http://nch.invisionzone.com/index.php?/topic/19345-cant-record-audio-in-screen-capture-mode/ if it plays on your computer you can recapture the video using screen capture and external audio cord
  4. Try a more stable codec. Like saving it to avi, with mpeg4 compression and mp3, then convert that vid to flv, for compression in flv mpeg4 is more stable than .264
  5. when importing snapshots they should be the same size as your save video button finished movie is going to be try that and if you still have problems try that with converting the pics to a different codec like jpg. If that doesn't work then your imported video also has varying sizes. Convert it first to a consistant size then add the snapshots.
  6. seams like its a hardware problem try harddisk defrag first and consider using a Readyboost usb flashdrive (8gb)
  7. Royalty free implies that when published regardless of the number of times it is shown it will not be subject to fee collections, or that if you make money off of it when you sell it in a product there would be no fee collection. The website doesn't include anything about partial fees like if using it commercially. They wouldn't forget to add info about partial fees because they thought enough to include info in the help about Videopad button about not being liable for any part of the software even if it results in someone's death. It can be assumed they won't be liable even mean if your commercial bombs.
  8. f4v can be compressed with different codecs like .264 or flv1 so saved file uses a codec the other programs don't know these programs aren't compatible try googling a program for it when you learn what codec it is

    No video

Even when using the same codecs in different programs they may not be compatible...try changing to mp3 and avi with mpeg4 codecs in FRAPS.
  10. same question here http://nch.invisionzone.com/index.php?/topic/14302-cant-make-another-movie/
  11. These are the causes ...Orginal codec of video files are not mainstream or use high bitrates. Convert to more common avi, with mpeg4 compression not .264 and mp3 audio before watching vids. ...Or could be computer doesn't have enough harddive or harddrive is too slow for videos...and if you only have a x32 cpu and 1 or 2 mb of memory then its hardware related try an 8gb usb flash drive as a ram drive...This process is called Readyboost...the computer has to dig less into harddrive(they (Microsoft) know harddrives are slowest part of computer) and when program memory is full it also uses Readyboost. Can google howto. Try out defrag harddrive also. ...If your using x32 Windows and you've never reinstalled it...there is so much old software that it takes a while to look it up when you want to do something even after uninstalling software. Try out defrag harddrive before settings out to reinstall windows. ...If your hardware is good then unload Windows of stuff that runs all the time...virus detection, internet firewall and close all programs but Videopad, including media player and internet(internet pages use internet even when idle). Some advanced Windows stuff that can be closed click control panel then click administrator tools...google these...component services, services, and task scheduler. Good luck.
  12. my experience... use max birates for video and audio settings (software may have to compress audio if not at highest settings) If this doesn't work then... If all out audio clips are out of sink then its computer hardware...not enough cache when saving. After sync save video only in one file and audio only in one file. Then recombine, should resync easier this time, then save as complete file. This reduces hardware burdon. If audio doesn't sync easily when saved by itself as one mp3 file then its a codecs. Common good codecs are avi, with mpeg4 not .264 and mp3 highest bitrates possible for both. Test for sync after save. If this works then reload mpeg4 and then convert to a different format.
  13. There are alot variables when burning a disk. If possible always use slowest burning speed when burning (less errors on old dvd burners)(its not an option in Videopad). It seams like the burner software is having to do to much computations while it is burning so it left out the audio. Since you already have a wmv copy on your computer... Here is something to try... Load that file into Videopad and drag it into sequencer. This will allow the save video button. Click on that button then click on disc. Then click make dvd movie button, for burner setting use image file not hardware burner. Click on advanced button and use 9000 bitrate and 320 audio bit rate. Last click create. When done you will have an iso file. When Videopad finishes in desktop folder check file size of new iso(right click on file then click properties). It has to be less then 4.7 gigs or you will have to remake the iso after splitting the wmv into two videos. Burn this using trial of poweriso. If this works then it was the problem was as described above. If this still doesn't work then its the settings your using when you first saved the wmv. Windows movie maker changes its drivers all the time and that is probably the source of your problem... Load wmv and drag to sequencer. Click save video button. Click computer/data button. Use these settings. preset=custom file format=avi resolution=1280x720 hd framerate=29.97 Click on encoder options video compressor=mpeg4(native) video compression setting=4096 sound compressor=mp3 (native) sound format=48,000Hz,320kbps,Stereo Click okay, then create button. Click on avi file and make sure it plays in media player. Otherwise some of above settings will have to be changed. Now load new avi file into editor then drag to sequencer, save video button, disc, make dvd movie, and burner setting=dvd burner. advanced button settings...9000bitrates,audio bitrates 320kps Okay button and create button. If that doesn't work then its the burner hardware or incompatible dvd player. If it still doesn't work let me know, we can use settings that are for ten year old dvd players. Bye, good luck.

    Using clips

Okay, I think this might help you. Drag and drop you videos into the Video Files Window in the program. In that window there are buttons that show a x, a folder with a plus, a down arrow, and the last one is squares or lines with a dot at the beginning. That last button lets you switch between thumbnail and list views. When in list view you have clips, type, clip duration, clip in point, etc. If you click on the clips button it will order the videos based on name. Then click the button you used to get into list views and it will go back to thumbnail view, but in order. It look like you could also sort them as type, clip duration, clip in point,etc...
  15. You have to use button "save video" for each sequence because that timeline is for your final movie... But here's how I have to do it.... Add file (video) Click on imported video once...it gets loaded to clip preview window. Okay, you will be selecting clips of the video that you want to add to final movie... Click on timeline part of clip preview window at its beginning of the portion of video you want to keep. Then click red set in point button. Then go back to clip preview windows timeline and click at end of video segment your keeping. Click blue set out point button. Then click green "add clip to sequence" For more parts of the same imported video.... left click on a part of the Videopad program that will leave the clip preview window blank...it will say "no clip selected" ignore sequence preview window when clicking be sure not to hightlight bottom sequence video track, this will cause it not to clear clip preview window then start again... click on imported video once... select beginning of next clip...etc.etc. green button will change to say add clip to beginning or end of final sequence.... Once your clips are all in bottom sequence window you can highlight each clip and move them around to order them. Sometimes it placed clip where I couldn't see them in bottom sequence window until I scrolled it.
