addressed Image Stabilization Audio bug in latest version 11.38
borate replied to Russ Croucher's topic in VideoPad
Stabilization on a one-hour project using H264 @320x240 was tested in beta version 11.48. It remained in sync. -
Good to hear. When the next release arrives test it and see if the export hangs. Let us know. It's possible that you had a bad install of 11.45. Your project didn't hang here, using that version.
-
Perhaps the camera has encoding alternatives that might affect sync. Every player had that issue with the file, so something is amiss. Even re-encoding didn't help. Test this version of Videopad and see if it does better on the export freeze issue.
-
Thanks for sharing your project. Cannot replicate the export hang in either Videopad version 10.88 or 11.45. However, the sermon file appears to be corrupt as sync starts to slip out progressively starting at about 37:00. This is evident in several viewers and editors. So it's conceivable that the file itself may be at the root of your issue. Next recording, try different settings or another camera, if available.

Reinstall Videopad from here. If no go after that, share the project and someone will troubleshoot it. Just follow the instructions above.

Any reversed clips in your project? Let's take a look at it. Spend a few minutes to share and the issue will likely soon be solved. Follow these steps closely... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.

The VPJ file tells the program what to do, and where to find source material; it's not playable. Search for an Autosave.vpj file in C:/Users/<username>/AppData/Roaming/NCH Software/VideoPad. Double-click it, and it should load your project. Don't try to load it into Videopad. If this fails, search for any VPJ on the PC and double-click on it. While editing, Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. Saved VPJ files are your protection, in case of PC failure. Hopefully, the crash did not wipe out your photos. Check the RECYCLE bin. And, if you have File History turned on, look in its back-up folder. To find it, type Control Panel into Windows search. Click on File History. It will reveal whether history is active and where it's being saved. Let us know the result.

If you attempt to close the project during export this will appear... If PV has been allowed to cache fully, there should be no timeline activity during export.

Just follow these four steps carefully. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately.
-
Don't see that here, but perhaps the cache is being cleared of files that it needs. Don't clear it. And creating a new sequence likely doesn't gain much; the export sequence is active.
-
Try another viewer, like this one. If that succeeds, then it's likely that a codec is missing. If it fails, install this version of Videopad. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Please share the project, as instructed above.

Good to know. No problem with 360 on YT here. But check the date of posts - the one you responded to is from Jan. '21.

To limit quality degradation, try exporting LOSSLESS from Videopad to an mp4, then import that to AVS for the conversion. With re-encoding there are many compression settings available for mp4, including inputting a custom #. Perhaps the movie object will handle one of them. File your suggestion here... https://www.nch.com.au/suggestions/index.html?software=VideoPad&version=11.45

Not seeing that behavior here using v11.45 with validation enabled. Burns normally. Download again from here and reinstall. Or reinstall your prior release, which should perform just as before. Here's where to find various versions. If you take a few minutes to share your project, someone here will run a test on it. The process is easy and can be private. Just follow these steps... Preview A/R options were revised years ago, and now are monitor basedr. Common ones are available via the drop-down menu. It's not pixel width and height, but numbers are shown in the Zoom config box... Motion can be animated by plotting keyframes. See this HELP file... http://help.nchsoftware.com/help/en/videopad/win64bitpaid/effects_animating.html Untitled1.mp4 "L" splits clips, both audio and video. Keyboard shortcuts... http://help.nchsoftware.com/help/en/videopad/win64bitpaid/keyboardshortcuts.html Click the downward chevron at the top-right of the VP screen for bug reporting and suggestion links. The NCH folks are glad to see them.

The VPJ file alone isn't of much help. We need to see the project folder that contains it and all source files. Carefully follow the 4 steps listed in my earlier post above. Someone here will check it out. To overcome possible program corruption... Use this free tool to uninstall Videopad. Allow it to scan registry entries and delete those as well. Then install this version (for now) and report back. And of course Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar.

Exports from Videopad will be in whatever format you have chosen ... mp4, AVI, MOV, etc. Whether clicking on the exported file brings up a suitable player is dependent upon the player associations configured for the PC. Try opening Windows Media Player first, then access the VP file. Should definitely play, if it's a file type that WMP handles.

You never "have to pay" after the six-month free update window. A purchased version will keep working just as before. Within that free licensing period, there may have been several releases, not necessarily better, but with slightly different features that you can try. http://oldversiondownload.com/ The current version can be test driven to judge a potential upgrade. And, if you prefer, the subscription payment model will keep you up to date. https://nch.invisionzone.com/forum/322-videopad-logiciel-de-montage-vidéo/

In the bin (top-left) right-click and Change Aspect Ratio. The drop-down menu has many choices... Similarly, on the export window, output resolutions - including Custom - can be selected... ZOOM effect is another approach that might work, depending upon the source.
