A couple of things to try... Go to OPTIONS | DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files. Do this before starting a new project. Reinstall your licensed copy or try an install of the latest release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.

Looks normal in the three most recent VP releases. There have been reports of a conflict with some video adapters/cards. Try this... Go to OPTIONS | EDITING tab and in the bottom Advanced area choose None (CPU only) Report back if that helps, and please list your PC specs: GPU/CPU/RAM

It's good that you haven't had the issue. Please check the dates of posts before replying - this thread is one-year old.

Not doubting; your issue is being addressed. If you work with the helpful folks in this peer group (users just like yourself) an answer should eventually surface. Considering that the behavior you describe has not been seen here in any version, nor been reported, this hints at a local issue. Please list PC specs: RAM, CPU, GPU, and free space on the drive. If possible, try VP on another machine. Try this first... go to OPTIONS | EDITING tab and in the Advanced section at the bottom choose NONE(cpu only). If no change, close Videopad. Go to these folders on the PC and delete all the files that they contain. Reboot, and reinstall Videopad. "C:\Users\<PC name>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components" "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components" The next step might be to do a thorough uninstall, using this free tool. Delete all registry entries it finds as well. Then install the linked version above. Report back on what worked (or didn't) for you.

rewind.mp4 Maybe something like this... Normal clip on timeline followed by a duplicate with reverse. Split that clip into several parts, incrementing a higher speed change on each. Add various effects like noise, black and white, etc. Play around.

Remember, there's a six month free upgrade window. Go here and try out later releases within that period. NCH is continually making under the hood performance improvements. You can see how GPU is now being used more efficiently, for faster rendering.

This is a good place to post issues. Those that are verified are passed along to the developers. Starting with a clean cache new install of v11.63 (64-bit), your demo took all of 59 seconds to fully cache. GPU usage was very high throughout and the PC wasn't bogged down. This is an I7 on a Z390 with 32MB RAM and a GTX1060. After loading, the cache folder was 752MB. Here (for a short while) is the task manager readout as the file loaded. Very efficient, IMO. Install the current version. Under OPTIONS | Editing tab, in the Video section at the bottom, test both your GPU and "default." Also try NO (CPU only) Submit a file or two here that gives you grief, please.

Likely not normal. What's the resolution of the file? Prior to starting a new project, go to OPTIONS | DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files. Share the mp4 and someone here will check it out. Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view." Also consider upgrading to the current release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.

resolved Image Stabilization New Audio bug in latest version 11.64
borate replied to Russ Croucher's topic in VideoPad
Today my test replicates yours. Initial load is okay in 11.63, but the MPEG4 stabilized 'raw' file is 2x. Can't speak for the inconsistent results. Apparently the problem is being caused by the file being a very unusual DV Type 2 video inside AVI container. The fix is being pursued. -
resolved Image Stabilization New Audio bug in latest version 11.64

The Pinnacle file loaded into 11.63 here is 2x - without being stabilized. Loaded into any version prior to that and it's okay. Stay tuned. -
This NCH sponsored forum is exclusively for discussion of Videopad. A free version is available here. Check it out.

resolved Image Stabilization New Audio bug in latest version 11.64
borate replied to Russ Croucher's topic in VideoPad
Stabilization appears to be irrelevant. When loaded into any VP release prior to 11.63, the Pinnacle 'raw' audio is good. After that release it's at 2X. The issue has been reported. Stay tuned to this thread for developments. -
You might also listen in Wavepad - free trial. On VP or Wavepad export, you can choose higher bitrates. Here's a comparison of the original (which appears to be hard-clipped) and the Videopad preview. Though VP reduced the overall gain a tad, there's no aural difference to my ear. Original plays first, then VP preview. comparison.mp3

Your original mp3 Videopad export... Little difference in waveform or audio. What version of Videopad is being used? Upgrade to the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If that's not possible, go to OPTIONS | MEDIA tab and verify that this box is unchecked...

Failed: Could not start upload to Youtube. Error code: quotaExceeded
borate replied to WamBamManBlam's topic in VideoPad
A known quota issue that is being addressed. It hints that the VP direct uploader is getting to be too popular.😄 Try an OFF-time. Or simply export as a video file and then use the YouTube uploader. A test just now, in the wee hours, succeeded. -
addressed Can you get Videopad to reprocess a imported clip?
borate replied to miogpsrocks's topic in VideoPad
It's unclear what you mean by "replace the current info with new info." What version of VP is being used? (Listed at the left-bottom corner of the window.) Each time an A/V clip is loaded, both audio and video are imported, and can be replaced with other content. It may be necessary to UNlink audio from video. Let's have a look at the clip that has no audio... Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view." -

Did the YouTube clip have audio? How was the YouTube clip captured? Use a product like Debut. Import the resulting file into Videopad. -

My oversight. Should have pointed you to the current BETA version. It's a test, so retain your earlier installer. Record_2022_05_31_17_22_31_554.mp4 -

This should be fixed in the current version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
