  1. What version of Videopad is being used? What are the export settings? Have you inadvertently enabled audio equalizing or other effects? Share that video. Someone will take a look and come up with a fix. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  2. Submit the project. Someone will take a look. A 22-minute lossless export here resulted in exactly the same bitrate as the mp4 original file. If some editing was done, the entire project may not have been exported losslessly. http://help.nchsoftware.com/help/en/videopad/win/finalise_lossless.html https://www.nch.com.au/kb/10288.html
  3. The test here used version 11.71. Try it. Audio loads as a separate, full track within a few minutes. MediaInfo reports that the audio codec used was OPUS. That's one not seen here before. Perhaps that's the issue? Nimbus might offer an alternative encoder. Upload and share the project - that has the music and slide at the head - and we'll see if the behavior changes. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. 4. How much GPU is used by Videopad varies with the video adapter, file type and encoder, as you know. Put up that eight-minute project and others may test it for speed comparisons. Even without high GPU usage, rendering/exporting can be fast. Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. 5. Explore the links here for suggestions on PC editing capabilities. The 'sweet spot' - performance vs cost - will depend on your needs and level of sophistication. Run the 64-bit version of Videopad, which best utilizes Windows memory. The VP download page may not offer that release; this link will. With a capable PC and judicious project management, there should not be extensive delays. If working with very high-res files becomes tedious, consider Proxy editing. Occasionally, breaking a lengthy project into segments is useful. Each exported segment can later be assembled for the final export. Prior to starting a new project, go to OPTIONS | DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files. This can also be done at anytime during edit. But don't clear the cache if reloading the same project, as that will require a much slower rebuild of cache. Of course, Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar.
  6. Took a minute or so but loaded in this version normally. Try it. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Audio did not load when the file was imported into another editing program.
  7. Peculiar. Installl this release and see if the issue persists. If so, share the file, please. Someone will check it out. Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."
  8. Good reason to Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. Then you can restore an earlier saved VPJ file. If you exported with the overlay then, yes, it became a composited single clip.
  9. What you have in mind is proxy editing, which is commonly used for lengthy or complex projects with high resolution files. Since Videopad caches all imported files proxies may not be needed. A project will reload quickly unless the cache has been cleared. But when caching becomes too tedious, proxies can help. The procedure is outlined in the Proxy Editing 'sticky' above. Sometimes it's helpful to divide lengthy projects into more manageable segments, export each and then assemble those parts for the final project. Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar.
  10. Glad it worked out. Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar.
  11. An overlay would be on a higher track. Remove the unwanted clip or, perhaps, right-click at the left of the overlay track and choose HIDE.
  12. This is affected by file type, resolution, frame-rate, etc. Experiment with the export options...
  13. Right-click on a Videopad clip... For MixPad, please post to that forum.
  14. Many options. Click the FX on the clip and explore. ROTATE, CROP, others.
  15. Fixed in this 32-bit beta release.
  16. Two muting locations to verify - the track ... and the clip. Also, right-click on the audio clip and toggle the MUTE/UNMUTE choice. And, as Nat says, be sure that the volume slider is at the far right. If neither works, back up your project and then close Videopad. Reopen it and before loading the project click OPTIONS | DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files. If still no joy, share the project. 17. Better - no missing files. Use the 64-bit Videopad version. Start with a clean cache by clicking OPTIONS | DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files. The large project may then take ten minutes or more to fully cache. Four gaps were detected. The first two, which may be intentional, were about two-seconds each. The others are likely a mistake. To see them use Storyboard mode and use the horizontal scrollbar at the bottom of the window.. . The sequence should look like this... But note the blank area after the last video. That may be the cause of your issue. Right-click in that area and Remove Gap In Sequence. A video file was placed in various areas of the project and at the end. Audio was unaffected. VP export defaulted at six-channels (5.1) of audio. Little reason for that. Change it by clicking the blue Default Quality/Filesize button in the export window.
  18. Very odd. Upload the 25 or so missing files from your earlier project upload. Then we can test it just as you see it there.
  19. You posted to an eight-year old thread started in another forum. Please begin a new topic. Look at the 'sticky' posts at the top of this forum for a link to Videopad tutorials and other tips.
  20. Was the file type loading into Videopad VOB (from the DVD)? Share a file or two... Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."Check back in with your findings.
  21. Install this version of the program. VP lists about 25 missing files. Be sure that you have included all that are used in the project. In the material supplied there's an audio editing error at the head of the music that begins at 14.05.047. which may be contributing to the issue. Note the a small audio clip at the head of the music, followed by a clip that contains the balance of the tune... Expand the timeline with the slider at the bottom-right of the window, right-click in the small clip and REMOVE ALL FADES. Do the same for the following clip. Right-click on the split line between the two and UN-SPLIT CLIPS. Now double-click the single audio clip and program the fades. When inserting video splits, be sure that the audio track isn't being split as well - unless that's the intent. Use the SPLIT button under the preview window. Click the chevron at the right side of the button and choose the specific track to be split.
  22. Test the project in the current Videopad version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If audio is unlinked from video, via right-click on either track and choosing UNlink from... then it may be possible to split out sections of the performance and change the speed of those areas. Right-click | CHANGE CLIP SPEED. Tedious, but this has been known to succeed. Share the project and perhaps someone here will come up with an idea. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  23. You certain that the audio isn't simply misplaced - later in the track? This isn't a bug and can happen in certain situations. Try locking the audio track prior to new content insertion. Right-click at the left of the track and LOCK TRACK. If the issue persists, please share your project. 24. Perhaps a corrupted download your first time? Some things were never meant to be known. Glad it's good now. 😌
  25. Restart Videopad after making the GPU (none) change.
