  1. You shouldn't have to be THAT patient if the project is constructed correctly and the PC has capable hardware for resource-intensive video editing. Before beginning a new effort go to OPTIONS | DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files - for a clean start. You can also do this anytime during an editing session. Use the 64-bit version for lengthy, complex projects. Sometimes it's best to break very large/hi-def projects into chunks. Export each, then reassemble them for the final. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Seems fine here. A split at the five-second point. Initial five at 50% speed, then normal to the end. Use the above linked version. No export freeze. What other issues, specifically, are you encountering? Record_2022_06_25_10_07_41_360.mp4
  2. Checked ZOOM in version 7.53, circa 2020, and the box could be positioned just as is done in newer releases. Drag the crosshatch in the middle of the PV window. There's no distortion in the video above. A great many under the hood enhancements have been made over the years. Often it boils down to user preferences and familiarity with specific features.
  3. Restart VP and before loading anything open OPTIONS | DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files. Or try this version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. ZOOM appears to be have the normal ability to size to by dragging the PV window handles. Click the chevron and try the PRESETS in the drop-down box. Record_2022_06_24_17_45_04_508.mp4 Click the chevron at the top-right of the Videopad window. Click on SUGGESTIONS and vent your concerns.
  4. Plays here. Added effects seem to work, but transitions are funky - sometimes there's no trans bar and at others simply no transition. My guess is that it's an issue with the file. MediaInfo reports: FileExtension_Invalid: ts m2t m2s m4t m4s tmf ts tp trp ty
  5. Preview play ahead of the green thumbnail cache line should be smooth. When that completes, green is above all video clips but not image clips. As for the ribbon under the preview window... Blue color indicates the sequence is not cached. Purple color indicates the sequence is cached as a result of mixing multiple tracks. You will not see purple cache if the sequence only has one track. Gray color indicates the caching for full screen preview which is the sequence output in full screen size. Often, it's not necessary to wait for caching to complete for successful export. If audio isn't fully cached there should be a warning and the waveform won't appear. And there are instances when the green line has completed, but audio is still processing. A counter may appear on the clip in the bin. But your mammoth project may act differently. Try breaking it up - perhaps into three-hour chunks - exporting each, then assembling those clips for the final. And use the 64-bit Videopad version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  6. Would need to have the project video, to compare the timeline with the exported result.
  7. Using 11.71. Sorry, but have no reference, as above, to that new video. When captured from YT and loaded into VP, counter first appears at 0:967 and stops counting (.86) at 1.0833.
  8. Did turning off GPU (CPU only) under OPTONS | EDITING tab make a difference? The sped-up demo video was a capture from the normal size preview window. This is a GTX 1060 GPU. Do test on the other PC and report back. If it's good there then GPU is suspect. In the past there have been some issues with AMD cards. As a test, you might install this older version and see if the results are the same. Many video changes have been made since its release. -0-0- Appears to be a PC-specific issue. Discussion taken to PM.
  9. Loaded the project. Then exported it at variable frame rate (Min 30/Max 60 fps), 1080, 28000 bitrate mp4. Added the exported file to a new sequence and compared the two. For both sequences the first counter appeared at 00.144. The second popped up at 04.594. Precisely the same. So unable to replicate your result.
  10. Thanks for sharing. Check our PM for a demo of what it looks like here. Playback on the timeline or the Videopad export both render exactly the same as in the WMP or MPC-BE media players. No purple, green or distortion. Tested in two VP versions on two very different PCs. This hints at a local issue, perhaps a conflict with the AMD Radeon HD 7500 series PCIe board card. Try it on another PC if available. Go to OPTIONS | EDITING tab and for the video processor choose OFF (re-encode) and see what result that produces.
  11. Try different quality settings. One may reduce size yet produce good results. Try the AVI format h264 encoder, with similar quality options.
  12. Did you test the above linked version? Does this happen only on the timeline, only on the export, or both? Upload and share your project, for inspection. Please list your PC's specs: CPU/GPU/RAM/ free space on the drive.
  13. No other reports of that behavior have shown up. What are your PC's specs: CPU/GPU/RAM/free space on the drive? Install this version and see if the issue persists. Let's take a look at a few clips. Or, better still, share the project. Someone will check into it. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  14. Many 'updates' are maintenance releases - little change - and there's no mandate to install them if the release you are using is working well for you. You can always test drive the latest, even if it's unregistered, to check out changes. Retain your purchased info and installer.
  15. 6.10 17.11 1080 23.69MB 86.68 1440 36.21 91.8 GPU was set to off (Re-encode). Our results are fairly consistent. Worth investigating. Word has it that... 11.70 uses the WMF encoder, which is supported by GPU. 6.10 used the x264 encoder. So, different encoders (both H264, but different implementation). Encoder settings were changed inside the application code since 6.10 build. This and other factors appear to explain the discrepancy.
  16. Wish there were a secret. Perhaps hardware differences? Share your project and we'll explore further. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. 17. Spotted it ... and easily fixed by deleting that single frame. Would have to see the project to learn why it occurred.
  18. Upload the video, so folks can see what it's supposed to look like. Your link is a grey still frame.
  19. There's something funky about the "Forged" file that doesn't load audio correctly in many VP versions. Reported. After that file is re-encoded it's okay and there's no issue with snapshots. Tested several and they were frame accurate. All the stills have the PLAY arrow embedded. This test made in version 11.71.
  20. What version of VP is being used? Six image files are missing in your package. Please upload them.
  21. Temporary hang? Hard to say, but you solved it. The latest release is here. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Protect the project. Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar.
  22. Using your export CPU-only settings with variable frame rate max 60fps, results here on a thirteen-second mp4... 6.10 17.11 1080 5.62 7.73 1440 11.54 15.2 And on a 60-second mp4... 1080 30.76 31.35 1440 50.45 45.04
  23. In releases that snap back when clips are dragged to the right, holding down <alt> should override that behavior. If Videopad is reinstalled (no need to re-download) the snapping may cease. Sometimes it takes several tries. To add clips at precise split points use these buttons to position the cursor at the split point. Then right-click on the to-be-added clip in the bin and Place On Sequence at Cursor. For better visibility expand the timeline, using the slider at the bottom-right of the window.
  24. Only two files there - a nearly 18 minute and a 19.9. Using version 11.71, the 19.9 original bitrate was 1.194kb/s. Multiple passes were made with version 11.71. All but one resulted in 1.115, the other 1.194. Can't say why, but not an appreciable difference. Version 11.32 is no longer available but 11.34 export was 1.194kb/s.
  25. What version of Videopad is being used? What are the export settings? Have you inadvertently enabled audio equalizing or other effects? Share that video. Someone will take a look and come up with a fix. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER.
