  1. Thanks for confirming that. Now, please upload a few files for analysis, so you and others won't run into this issue again with later releases.
  2. Many changes have been made since the older v8.45. To determine whether the GPU is causing the issue with the most recent releases we need to see if the distortion persists when None (CPU only) is chosen under OPTIONS | EDITING. (There's no such option in 8.45). Kindly reinstall the latest and turn off GPU. Report back whether that solves the distortion. And please upload a few of your Logi captured files so they can be analyzed, to aid in solving the problem. Thanks.
  3. That's good to know, and thanks for troubleshooting. This hints at a conflict with your AMD graphics and later VP releases. Just to confirm: you did disable GPU by choosing None (CPU only) and restarting Videopad when testing the later release? Please upload and share a few of those files for analysis so the issue can be resolved. You can do this privately by clicking the envelope at the top-right of this forum and messaging me. Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."
  4. Left click the first file, hold down <shift> and left click the last file. All in that track will be selected. If instead <ctrl> is held down, individual clips will be selected. To move all tracks, do this for each track. OR... Select any clip. Then click <ctrl-A>. That will select the entire sequence (all tracks) and all selected clips will move when dragged. Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar.
  5. Click the 3-lined Menu at the top-left, then FILE | SAVE AS PORTABLE PROJECT AS. All source files, and the VPJ control file, will be saved. The project can be restored on any PC that has VP installed just by running the VPJ file.
  6. There's no way we can tell if the Logi video files are good until you share the project. Or at the very least upload and share some Logi files. Share your project. Someone will take a look and come up with a fix. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server. Did you test the older version linked in my last post? Did you delete the files in the two folders and reinstall? Did you confirm that the video driver up to date?
  7. Thanks for choosing None (CPU only) and restarting the program. Be sure that the AMD video driver is up to date. Just for kicks test install this release and see if it displays the problem. When it prompts that 'there's a newer version available' choose "Maybe Later." If still no joy, you might close the program and delete those files in the folders specified above. Then reinstall VP. This will ensure that no files are corrupted. To submit a project just follow the instructions in my first reply, exactly as stated, step-by-step. Then folks here can see what you see.
  8. Okay. Test OPTIONS | EDITING tab None (CPU only). Submit a test project.
  9. The folders listed above in BOLDface. What AMD graphics adapter is it? Before you delete files, try this: go to OPTIONS | EDITING tab and at the bottom choose None (CPU only). Then restart Videopad.
  10. Good, that narrows it down. Have you tested VP on another PC, if available? Did you update the video driver and Direct-X? Please list the PC specs. Try this as well... Close VP. Then use Windows Explorer (the file manager) to delete all files in these folders. When done, install this VP version. "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components" (or they may be in the Program Files path (no x86). "C:\Users\<PC user name>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components" Please submit a project, as instructed above, for analysis.
  11. Support via this peer user forum is often the best route to solving issues. And it's free. What are your PC's specs: GPU/CPU/RAM/free space on C:? Assuming that you use Windows, what version of Videopad is installed? Look at the bottom-left corner of the window or the start-up screen. Confirm that the video driver and Direct-X are up to date... https://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/kb/1772.html Have you tested the most recent release. Yes, it may be unlicensed, but most features will be available for a trial period. And there's a free version, with limited features. Retain your MS app installer and licensing info, if relevant. If it's discovered that there's a product defect NCH will make it right. If possible, please submit a project that does this - for testing. It's not difficult and can be private. Just follow these steps closely...
  12. If you run into the issue again, please report it. Various lossless exports here showed no reduction in bitrate, using the latest beta release.
  13. Depends upon the state of the source material. Videopad can make a number of enhancements. Experiment with the EFFECTS choices... For example... Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar.
  14. Try it, and see if it's registered. Or wait until the next release (not beta). If it's within the six-month window since your purchase it will be registered.
  15. This is fixed in the beta release (as of this date). Try it.
  16. Working now in the current beta (as of this writing). Try it. Remember, betas are test releases and subject to undiscovered issues.
  17. Your link above no longer has the 18-minute file that exports losslessly with a lower bitrate. Please correct that link. Thanks.
  18. If possible grab a short video showing precisely what you are trying to do. In tests here there's no issue here with expanding, contracting or moving a clip. In this example all audio tracks are unlinked and nothing is grouped. A clip is dragged right, resized, dragged left, resized ... then the reverse - to bring it back to the original size. No movement of other tracks occurs. Record_2022_07_04_14_46_13_57.mp4
  19. What version of VP is being used? Try this one. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. What are your PC's specs: GPU/CPU/RAM? If a specific effect is not selected (it turns blue), then the box won't appear. box.mp4
  20. There should be a sensitivity adjustment available for the pad. Unlinking has had no effect on bin clips here, but we'll keep an eye out.
  21. Humm... this may not be a Videopad issue, but one with the mouse or PC. Try a different mouse. And be sure that you are not right-clicking when dragging from the bin. A right-click | drag will produce a blue square. Open the Windows Control Panel and click on MOUSE. Go to the Buttons tab and confirm that Click Lock is not enabled...
  22. Try this next... Close VP. Then use Windows Explorer (the file manager) to delete all files in these folders. When done, install this VP version. "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components" (or they may be in the Program Files path (no x86). "C:\Users\<PC user name>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components"
  23. Videopad handles AAC files well.
  24. You certain that you don't mean AAC?
  25. If a video clip has sound that you don't want moved when its video is dragged, sized, or a clip is inserted, first separate the audio from the video. Right-click on either track and UNlink. Here, when those actions are performed, the overlays do not move. To keep independent, non-linked tracks from being affected lock them. Right-click to the left of the track and LOCK TRACK. If you make a mistake, immediately press <ctrl-Z> to backtrack, step-by-step. EDIT menu | UNDO does the same. For protection, Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar.
