  1. Should never prompt unless the source files have been moved. What version of VP is being used? Try the current release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. To rule out cache corruption, restart VP and before loading anything, go to OPTIONS | DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files. Then load the project. Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. Clicking on the VPJ should load the project with no need to resolve. If it still does, please share your project. Someone will take a look and come up with a fix. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  2. Was it the exported file that never showed up ... or just the transitions that it contained? The file, by default, is saved to the PC's DOWNLOADS folder. Then load the project. First, be sure to Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. Then you're protected. Restart Videopad, and before loading anything go to OPTIONS | DISC tab and Clear Unused Cache Files. What version is being used? Try the current release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. 3. As the audio track shown above was UNlinked, in essence it was a separate track. But an additional music track, totally unrelated to video, was also tested. No snapping in version 11.74 (64-bit Record_2022_07_25_15_18_08_705.mp4 Close the program. Restart, and before loading anything, go to OPTIONS | DISC tab and Clear Unused Cache Files. Then load the content. Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. That way, you're protected.
  4. EDIT menu | UNDO or <ctrl-Z> will backtrack, step-by-step. No snapping in 11.74 here. These clips are UNlinked from video. Record_2022_07_24_18_41_45_877.mp4
  5. Glad it worked out. Note that the changes in amplitude are also reflected on the audio track itself, though the waveform doesn't change...
  6. Your link is local, so it can't be seen here. To fix that upload the image to a free server, get a public (shared) link and post that link here. First thing: Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. Then you're protected. What version of Videopad is being used? After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If none of this helps, please share the project. Someone will come up with a fix. Just follow these steps closely... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. 7. This thread has been brought to the attention of the developers. It might be less frustrating to simply stick with a version that's working well for you. Many updates are maintenance releases that may be of little or no benefit for your processes.
  8. If all is well now there's no need to upload the file. And there's never a mandate to upgrade. You can always test drive the latest to see what's new and how it performs ... then reinstall an earlier, purchased release.
  9. You composed something like this? If you want a 16:9 result, export at 1920 x 1080 with the Crop and Zoom Setting. Or, if you want the flowers to remain at 9:16 with black borders, choose the Letterbox Setting. In instead, you want a 9:16 output, compose the text within the video boundary and export at that aspect ratio ...
  10. There have been YT issues reported that are being addressed. Despite the fact that the upload doesn't appear to complete, check your YT channel. The upload may actually be good. That's been seen here. Optionally, export a video file and use YouTube's uploader... https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/57407?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop
  11. No need to submit the project or install 11.x. Simply upload a file or two that has the distortion in the later releases and someone here will see if it does the same for them. Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."
  12. Describe more fully what you mean by "touch." If a fade has been programmed, and the clip is subsequently altered, the fade may be removed. That's normal. Program the fade last. Checking 11.08 here, there doesn't seem to be a problem. But try the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  13. The export size estimate is historically inaccurate. Do the deed and see what results. Various quality settings can be selected from the drop-down export menu or input your own. Click the blue Default Quality/Filesize link. If export is excessive, please share the project. Someone will see what they get. The process is easy, quick and can be private. Follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. 14. Is there reversed video in the project? Close Videopad, reopen and prior to loading anything go to OPTIONS | DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files. Upgrade to the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. So others can see what you see, and help solve the issue, please share your project. 15. The quota for YT uploades is being addressed. Sometimes the error is "no channel" - at others, "quote exceeded" or "failed." Despite that message, the upload may have actually succeeded. In the interim, the YT uploader will work fine of course... https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/57407?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop
  16. What version of VP is being used? No other reports of that behavior. Close Videopad, restart it. Before loading anything go to OPTIONS | DISC tab and Clear Unused Cache Files. Then load your project. Install the latest release and see if it clears up. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If not, come back here.
  17. What version of the program is being used? Look at the left-bottom corner of the window or the start-up screen. Close Videopad and restart it without loading anything. Under OPTIONS | DISK tab, Clear Unused Cache Files. Load the project and see if it still does it. You might also install the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  18. Several methods can accomplish that... Split-out the sections, then apply the AMPLIFY effect to them. Or double-click the audio track. The waveform becomes visible in preview. Drag the blue line up to increase the gain in areas where it's low. Each time the line is moved a keyframe (dot) is created. They can also be dragged.
  19. Font size is not scaled like images and can only be increased/decreased in a fixed step. The step is not linear, meaning that one size change could affect the number of pixels displayed at various resolutions. There are different scaling implementations, pixel formats and trade offs between quality and speed etc. Here's an approach that may give you a better result. Compose the text overlays, then Save Project File AS, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. Do this routinely. Now delete all background tracks, leaving only the text overlays. Export at 1080 as an aPNG file. Restore the project, then delete the text overlays and replace them with the aPNG. This is about as close as it gets. Tests here showed vertical and horizontal positioning to be dead on.
  20. Click the Chevron to the right of the Burner field. A drop-down menu will list the choices. If your burner isn't one of them, then the PC apparently isn't recognizing it. Can you play DVDs with that drive? Try a reboot. An image file can be created, and later burned to DVD - using the appropriate software. In recent Windows versions a right-click on the ISO (image file) should offer a Burn Disk Image choice.
  21. That should do it. Menus will appear. The defaults are usually fine. Be sure that your burner is chosen... Next screen, optionally click the ADD MENU button if that's desired, and type a Disc Label name...
  22. A test here tended to verify your results. This thread has been brought to the attention of the developers. Check back from time to time for possible insights. Please file a report... https://www.nch.com.au/software/bug.html
  23. Export resolution can affect this. What are your settings and what version of Videopad is being used? Look at the left-bottom of the screen. Share your project. Someone will take a look.
