  1. <Shift> click is good for multiple tracks. Click the first, then hold down <shift> and click the last. All between the two will be selected. select.mp4
  2. On closer scrutiny, looking at the clouds, jerkiness is evident at the default constant 25fps export rate. Choose this setting instead which results in approximately 25fps. Looks smooth.
  3. What Videopad version is being used? Looks fine here in the current release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  4. No apologies, but no perfection. You mentioned earlier: "I tried to pull the file into a different video editing software and now a different section of the video is missing." Developers examined the file extensively. Bottom line: the VOB is corrupt, and working around it could result in other issues. Your best bet may be screen recording, which can capture an mp4 that VP can handle well with no discernible quality loss.
  5. Very good. For vertical POSITION you likely meant zero. 100 will place it off the screen. In tests here, both ZOOM and SCALE produce essentially the same result, as seen in a viewer. That recommendation would have been next. Thanks for the update.
  6. Please post here in English if possible. What version of Videopad is being used? Install the current (English) version if applicable or the latest version in your language. If no improvement, share your project for analysis. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  7. Let's analyze the project. Please share it either here or privately. The process is easy and quick. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server. -0-0- Addressed via Personal Messenger. The 'fix' was to launch VP with a right-click | Run As Administrator.
  8. When you activated, a registration code was issued. That should work on the other system. Click the 3-lined menu at the top-left of the VP window and scroll down to... You should be good to go. If not, come back here.
  9. Have never spotted that file here and it's not listed on the NCH components page. But there is this info... https://systemexplorer.net/file-database/file/soxdec-exe Perhaps an element of your project needs it on the older PC? Share the project and we'll see what it does here... The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. 10. Still not certain that his will get the desired result but try... Crop 10% at the right. Position it center. Export as Crop and Zoom 1980x1200. Or try Letterbox export.
  11. Not convinced that this is a VP problem, but keep checking in to see if more info is forthcoming. Debut has no watermark. You can test trial the normal release.
  12. No word as yet on the status of the file. Its length and content are all over the board in various players and editors, as you noted in another NLE. All over the board in tests here, as reported above - anywhere from 16 to 54 minutes in length, while MediaInfo reports it to be 22 minutes. Did you simply load it into VP directly from a DVD? If possible, come up with another method of obtaining the VOB. Did your mp4 converted VOB load fully into VP? If so, that may be the way to go. Or play it in a viewer that renders it correctly and use Debut capture software or the like to make a screen recording. Time consuming, but as shown in my demo, the resulting file will have integrity.
  13. Perhaps something is being misunderstood here ... but how can a 16:9 be cropped to become larger vertically? A 16:10 could be cropped to 16:9. Perhaps the ZOOM effect would work for what you're attempting. Please describe, or better yet, create a small video that demonstrates precisely what is being done. Upload that video to a free server and get a public (shared) link. Post that link here. If using Google Drive, be sure that "anyone can view" instead of "restricted."
  14. Proxy editing, essentially - a variation of info in the 'sticky' at the top section of the forum. Lower resolution might be even faster. Good plan.
  15. If it's to look like this... no Zoom. Add the Crop to Aspect Ratio effect with a 1:1 preset and export as letterbox. If still no joy, drop by again. Using version 11.92 there's no problem here in deleting subtitle files. Select | DEL. Or right-click and choose the option there. Install the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  16. Please share an original, uncropped, unzoomed image.
  17. Whatever does the job. The video offset should be easy to set. Debut can export files in avi, asf, wmv, mpg, 3gp, mp4, mov, flv, mkv, ogv, webm and dv format. At least that's what is claimed for the registered version. The free release may have limitations. Check out the Debut tutorials.
  18. Shape a polygon mask... Background, track 1; inside masked insert, track 2 plus a Transparency effect with opacity set to zero. If you haven't already done so, check out Using Mask 'sticky', near the top of this forum.
  19. VP developers confirm that this file is corrupt and not much can be done without causing other problems. While in VLC it seems mostly fine, but attempting to seek causes various errors - e.g. seeking to 6:00 in VLC instead seeks to 5:51, and sometimes after seeking close to the end the video freezes and fails to play any more frames, even after attempting to seek anywhere else. In MPC-BE it plays and seeks well. The suggested fix, as above: UNlink, then delay video by 01.145. That offset may work on similarly corrupted files as well. Sync issues have not been reported lately with most files in any format, so this may relate to the program that created or converted the files?
  20. Sounds good. Be sure to allow caching to complete, as noted above, or PV may be choppy.
  21. What version of Videopad is it?. Look at the bottom-left of the window. Is it registered? What method was used to record the new audio? Is the noise evident when the WAVs are played in Windows Media Player? Try the latest. Most features will work, even if unlicensed. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Of course, Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. If no change please share the project. That's the only way others can hear what you hear and troubleshoot the issue. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. 22. Please share a clip that has the issue, to see if a necessity to 'reprocess' can be replicated. Be sure to allow the green caching line above the tracks to complete or PV may not be smooth. If this is a multi-track project wait also for the line under the PV window to change color - purple or gray. That confirms that the sequence is cached. Clear the disk cache prior to beginning a new project. It can also be cleared at anytime during editing. To select all clips on a track, select the first. Hold down <shift> and select the last. Press DEL on the keyboard. That's a standard Windows thing. To apply effects to multiple clips, select the clips, right-click on one icon to program the effect, then click the "replace effect chain" button on the effects toolbar... Be sure to file your other suggestions with the company... https://www.nch.com.au/suggestions/index.html Also, for HD, lengthy or complex projects use the 64-bit releases.that take better advantage of PC memory.
  23. Thanks for sharing. Grossly out of sync. A report has been filed and suggest that you do the same... https://www.nch.com.au/software/bug.html?software=VideoPad In the interim, do this to manually correct the synchronization... UNlink audio from video by right-clicking in either track and making that choice Expand the timeline with the slider at the bottom-right... Click in the video track to select it In the Cursor box enter 01.145... Press <enter>. The cursor jumps to that position Drag the video track to the right until it snaps to the cursor position. sync.mp4
  24. Please install the latest release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If the problem persists, the best way to analyze what's occurring is to see the project. Please share it - or a portion that has the issue. Someone will take a look and come up with a fix.
