  1. Add the new content on a higher track. Higher tracks take precedence over lower. This is Picture In Picture, and there's even an effect for it in some VP versions. Or use the Motion effect to scale and position the overlay image. Record_2022_09_05_02_05_16_978.mp4
  2. Resolved in a Private Message. Updated version required.
  3. The other route to Lossless is in the export dialog. Click the blue Default Quality/Filesize link. Click Auto Detect and choose Use Lossless Export. Install the latest release. We'll be standing by for your project file, as instructed above.
  4. New thread. Reboot the PC. Then install the latest VP release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If it prompts for x264enc7.exe once again download the attachment here and double-click on it. If the issue persists, come back. x264enc7.exe
  5. What version of Videopad is being used? What's the original image size? You want to drop it to 273x183 - is that correct? Let's take a look. Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."
  6. Here are the limitations on Lossless. What method was used to initiate that export? This... or this... Go to OPTIONS | MEDIA tab and in the Advanced section at the bottom, click on Default and choose None (CPU only). Please report back if that succeeds. If the issue persists, please share the project so it can be analyzed. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server. Also install the latest release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  7. Be sure to file a bug report... https://www.nch.com.au/software/bug.html?software=VideoPad Refer to this thread... https://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/33089-problems-with-rtl-right-to-left-subtitling/#comment-107228
  8. Not for me to say. This was a bug but not a limitation. An easy workaround - which you employed - overcame it.
  9. Your certain that Videopad is your editor? There's no watermark, unless you create one. What version is being used? Try the latest. 10. What you describe works whether content is a typical bin clip or is an overlaid sequence that contains transparent content. For example... The girl in this video is on track 1 in sequence 1. The numbers are from sequence 2 that has been overlaid on track 2 in sequence 1... Key_embed.mp4 Install the latest release. Retain your old install file and registration info. If this doesn't solve the issue, please share your project for analysis, so others can see exactly what you see. It's not difficult. 11. Thanks for taking the time to sleuth this. Word has it that the issue may have been fixed in version 12.00. Please give it a try with GPU enabled, if you have the time, and report back. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  12. This seems to exist outside of VideoPad and extends into WordPad/MS Word as well: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/9613613/why-words-are-shuffled-when-i-insert-english-words-in-any-arabic-urdu-persian-te The issue may not be solvable, and it's ultimately up to the user to write mixed-directional text correctly (as seen in the answer to that StackOverflow post).
  13. Just to confirm that this was truly the cause, please re-enable GPU (default) and see if the problem resurfaces. Go to OPTIONS | MEDIA tab and choose the default this time. Restart Videopad. Go to OPTIONS | DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files. Restart VP again. Please let us know if the issue crops up again. If not, then the PC restart might have solved the issue.
  14. Don't do much Facebook here, but when one of your clips was exported from VP at default 16:9 settings, then test uploaded to FB, it appeared as 16:9 - like this... Record_2022_09_01_10_33_00_465.mp4 Many videos seen there are the same. Others have black bars of varying thickness or images that have been squeezed (the wrong A/R). Videopad exports can be most any resolution, including custom settings... https://www.descript.com/blog/article/guide-to-instagram-video-sizes-how-to-format-your-ig-posts Facebook states: "For optimal viewing on mobile, it’s best to use vertical images with an aspect ratio of 4:5 and 1200 x 1500 px. For square images, opt for a resolution of 1080 x 1080px. And for vertical images use 1200 x 1500 px." Videopad export at 1080x1080 is likely your answer...
  15. Great! Precisely what measures did you take - enabling None (CPU only)? If so, what are your PC's specs: CPU and GPU (graphics card)?
  16. If this is the result you're aiming for... choose TEXT BACKGROUND in the text editor window. Then, in the preview window, drag the box. There are slight jumps, but moving the pointer very slowly should result in the desired position. Or, click the FX icon on the text clip, choose the POSITION effect, and use the sliders or manually input numbers for more precision. Record_2022_08_31_09_18_26_352.mp4
  17. Checked it again just now, this time with the effected video superimposed over a blank, blue background. Reloaded, and the crop was retained...
  18. Retested with a video file - positioned, scaled, cropped and then saved and reloaded, but couldn't duplicate the problem in v11.97. After reloading the project click the CROP header to see if the effect has held... Try this. Go to OPTIONS | MEDIA tab and in the Advanced section at the bottom, click on Default and choose None (CPU only). Restart VP. Under OPTIONS | DISK tab Clear Unused Cache Files. Restart again. If no joy, please share the project, or a portion that demonstrates the issue. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server. Then it can be seen just as you see it, for analysis.
  19. What version of Videopad is being used? Was CROP the sole effect for the clip, or were there others? If so, what others? Not seeing that here in this release. Give it a try. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  20. The text composition window size is fixed. Sometimes it's helpful to display both the clip and sequence preview screens. Click OPTIONS | DISPLAY and check the box. Text is composed within the boundaries of video in the sequence preview window (not in the text composition box). If a line is too long, press <enter> to split the text into multiple lines. Use these controls to position it... Or simply drag the text in the preview window. To change size and colors first select the text, then apply the changes. This on-line tool can be useful... HTTPS://GILLMEISTER-SOFTWARE.COM/online-tools/text/add-line-breaks_change-line-length.aspx Using the tool, compose text in its top window, then set the line length to what will fit best in Videopad preview. Click the bottom section to see the result, and press the COPY TO CLIPBOARD button. Now paste the text into VP's text editor, using <ctrl-V>. Very slick.
  21. File a suggestion... https://www.nch.com.au/suggestions/index.html?software=VideoPad
  22. Fixed in beta version 12.00. The usual beta (test) cautions apply. Try AVI for export on an unregistered release.
  23. What resolution are the source files? How long is the project? What video adapter or card is installed? Try this: go to OPTIONS | EDITING tab and in the Advanced section at the bottom click the chevron to the right of Default. Choose None (CPU only). Does that make a difference? Don't expect highest definition in the preview window, but pixelization is not common. Export should be clean. Check out the wide variety of export resolutions - even custom settings. 'Auto match' isn't necessarily the optimal choice. For protection, Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. If you take a few minutes to share your project, someone will take a look.
  24. The ADD or| PLACE button (name varies with Videopad version) will appear after selecting (left-clicking) a clip in the bin. Drag the cursor to the start of the desired portion of the clip and click SET START. Drag to the end of the part desired and click SET END. Now click the ADD or PLACE button and that section of the clip will appear on the sequence. Record_2022_08_28_09_59_54_497.mp4 Drag a clip from the bin to the sequence. The bin (top-left) is where imported clips are shown under tabs like VideoFiles, AudioFiles, Images, etc. Or right-click a bin clip to see common placement options. The same options are shown when the chevron to the right of ADD | PLACE button is clicked.
  25. Hold down <shift> or <ctrl> and select the clips on each track, then drag them to the right. Untitled.mp4
