  1. Use the 64-bit version, linked above, if possible. Video editing is resource intensive. Higher-end hardware is recommended, especially for very high-def or lengthy projects.
  2. It would definitely helpful to analyze the problem project. But if it's more than 10 or so GB it's not practical to upload and share. That would be a case where you might delete part of the project - to a more manageable size. Then, if it still exhibits the issue, share it.
  3. FILE | Save Portable Project as ... and Back up files to a folder are the same. Either one will create a folder containing all source files in the project + the VPJ. The zip file linked in your last post, is empty. Load a project, Back up files to a folder. Upload the folder. Get a link and post it here.
  4. What version of Videopad is being used? Try the latest 64-bit release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. After a speed change, allow the clips to fully cache (green line completes above the thumbnails). Preview should then be smooth.
  5. Have you instead tried Picture-In-Picture effect? In essence, you will place the logo on track 2, and scale/crop it if necessary Add the Transparency effect if desired. Now, if you truly want your logo behind you, and employ chromakey (green screen), try the different settings in the drop-down menu. Also, fiddle with the sliders, especially the threshold. Understandably, the color being keyed out must not be evident in other parts of the video or they too will vanish.
  6. Does the processing issue prevent using FILE | BACK UP PORTABLE PROJECT? If not, it's unimportant whether audio has loaded. Follow the instructions above and share the project file, which will contain all source files + the VPJ. You state that no project will load audio. If you have a shorter project than the one initially discussed here that has the issue please share that one. Which Videopad version is being used? Look at the bottom-left corner of the window.
  7. What you can do is export a video as images... Then use your graphics program to group, save, print them as desired.
  8. And you can try the Default Video Processing setting as well, though this may unrelated to your issue. If a portion of the project is loaded, and the Back-up procedure noted above followed, we can see it just as you do. You can also submit a file or two, individually, if you feel that this will illustrate the problem.
  9. If the project is truly 210GB, that would explain the load time. Especially with UHD, large files, this can be a challenge for any editor. Review the Proxy Editing suggestions in the 'sticky' post at the top of this forum. Pre-trimming or breaking up individual files - leaving only the content to be used - is worthy of consideration. When composing, it can be best to break a lengthy effort into smaller segments, export each, then assemble those part for final export. Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. To disable peak finding go to OPTIONS | MEDIA tab and uncheck this box. Another toggle to test - OPTIONS | EDITING tab. In the Advanced Video Processor section at the bottom click on Default and choose None (CPU only). Unless the project can be broken down, still has the issue, and then can be uploaded and analyzed here it's tough to make further suggestions
  10. Not certain that Videopad effects will give you precisely what you want, but at least those resources will generate ideas to try. Best of luck.
  11. True. Search "turn video from day to night"on the net for tips that you may be able to utilize in Videopad.
  12. What Videopad version is being used? What are the export settings? If lossless, try re-encode instead. Install the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If these suggestions don't take care of it, come back here.
  13. If the project is saved, everything including your new bin will be restored when the project is reloaded. Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. If you want the new bin to show up each time a new project is begun, create and save a dummy project, perhaps with one blank clip. Launch its VPJ file. Delete the blank, then proceed with importing and editing.
  14. The basics in the tutorials should still apply. There's a link to them in the top section of this forum... https://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23872-videopad-tutorials For the most current info click the ? at the top-right of the Videopad window. If questions arise, come back here with specifics. Folks will be glad to help.
  15. Open the VPJ project file in Notepad. To see the VPJ, choose All Files at the bottom-right. At the very top of the VPJ file, change the version # from 12 to 11 and <File |Save>.. Now it will prompt when you attempt to run the project in the above suggested 'stable' release, but it should load. 210 Gigs won't be practical; save your effort. Instead, see if you can delete all except a small segment of the project that has the issue. Then upload and share, using the back-up folder procedure suggested above. Before making changes... Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. Other things to try... If VP will launch, go to OPTIONS | EDITING tab and in the Advanced | Video Processor area at the bottom click on Default. Choose NONE (CPU) only. Then restart Videopad and before loading anything go to OPTIONS | DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files. Restart it again with a right-click | Run As Administrator. Load the project. If it continues to fail test the project on another PC, if possible.
  16. There is nothing sinister about downloading VP from the link above. Override/ignore the warning, if possible. It appears that this is a NVidia driver. Their download site will always have the latest universal drivers. https://www.nvidia.com/download/index.aspx Standing by for your project files...
  17. Clips on the timeline (sequence) can't be renamed, but those in the bin can. Timeline clips can also be split out and dragged to the bin, where they will be shown with an incremental #. Record_2022_09_06_09_27_29_123.mp4
  18. If you have access to another PC, try installing Videopad there. Here's another stable release to test install. No, Windows Update doesn't usually deal with the video driver. Update from the appropriate manufacturer's site. Is it AMD? NVidia? Intel Graphics? Zip and upload the source files if you can. Videopad need not be running to accomplish that.
  19. Is the video driver up to date? If not, use the appropriate link to locate the latest release. https://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/kb/1772.html It makes no difference which is done first. The file deletion step, then a reinstall, are worth a try. As for finding project files: right-click on any file in the video bin (top-left of the window) and... That will open Windows Explorer to the folder. Usually, but not always, the project files are in the same folder.
  20. Very odd. No, in addition to the VPJ, ALL the source files are needed. If you cannot get the back up as described below, just zip the entire folder that contains them. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server. What video adapter is being used? Confirm that the video driver and Direct-X are current... https://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/kb/1772.html Also try this... Close Videopad. Using Windows Explorer (the file manager) locate these folders and delete all the files that they contain. Then reinstall Videopad... "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components" (Or the same path without the (x86).) "C:\Users\<PC name>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components"
  21. The latest Windows version is here. It's unclear what you are attempting to do. If the text clip is in the Videopad bin (top-left), right-click on it and Rename. You can also duplicate the clip and give it another name. Right-click on it, click COPY. Right-click in an open area of the bin and click PASTE CLIP. Either the original or the copy can be Renamed. If this doesn't help, please follow up with the specific steps that you take.
  22. Interesting. What are the PC's specs: CPU/GPU/RAM? Install this release, then launch Videopad as Administrator by right-clicking its icon. Please report back on whether that helps. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. In lieu of not being able to FILE | BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO A FOLDER or SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT, first back up the project. Then go to the source folder that contains all the project files. There should be a VPJ file there as well. Zip them all, then upload and share the Zip file here. If using Google Drive be sure that "anyone can view" (not "restricted").
  23. Re-encode for now. The lossless behavior is being investigated. Check in here occasionally for updates.
  24. If the overlay video is smaller than the background, then it will need to be sized in order to fully cover the background. Use the Scale or Motion effect. With the licensed version of VP there's no limit on the number of tracks. To see more or less of multi tracks use the scrollbar at the right, drag the white line that divides video from audio tracks or click on the chevrons to the left of each audio track. Record_2022_09_05_07_31_53_115.mp4 Click on this video for a bigger view. To reset Videopad to the default layout, click the Menu (top-left), then VIEW | RESTORE DEFAULT LAYOUT.
