  1. What version of Videopad is being used? Is this LOSSLESS export? If so, try Off (Re-encode) instead. Click the blue Default Quality / Filesize link. Update to the latest version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If these measures don't help, come back here.
  2. Look here... https://vlchelp.com/convert-audio-format/ https://forum.videolan.org/ For an NCH product that may produce even better results, check out Switch.
  3. Good plan. And for best results on lengthy, complex projects, use the 64-bit releases.
  4. If not doing so already, consider using the 64-bit current version of Videopad. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. As video rendering is resource intensive, it is wise not to co-run other demanding apps, though that isn't definitive. HD video shouldn't be a problem. Confirm that the video driver and Direct-X are up to date... https://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/kb/1772.html
  5. What version of Videopad is being used? Try the current 64-bit release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If no change, please share your project - for analysis. Someone will take a look and come up with a fix. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  6. Or click on the X (top-right) in the undocked window...
  7. Be sure to check posting dates. The thread you posted to is very old and unrelated to your quest. So this new one was started for you. A good place to begin with Videopad is to view the tutorials. https://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23872-videopad-tutorials DOWNloading, from YouTube, TikTok, etc. has nothing to do with Videopad. You get what you get. But UPloading to those sites from Videopad - even using the trial and free versions - does not place a logo (watermark) on exports. For instructions on how to upload to TikTok... https://blog.hubspot.com/marketing/how-to-use-tiktok If Videopad issues crop up, post a new thread with a descriptive subject and specifics on the problem. Someone will be glad to help.
  8. Tracks can also be locked. Right-click at the far left and make that choice.
  9. Why file type is the LOSSLESS export? Update to the latest release and see if this is still the case. Please report back. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  10. Good to hear. But it would still be enlightening to see the project. Upload and share it, as above, if at all possible. You should not be seeing green lines at any resolution. What version is being used (look at the left-bottom corner of the VP window)?
  11. Do you see the green bar in preview, or only after exporting the project? The best way to troubleshoot is to share the project. It is not difficult and you don't need to be computer savvy. Again, just follow these steps... If you have a Google account, the same ID/password will work for Google Drive. Same for Microsoft accounts and their One Drive. Use this version of Videopad.
  12. File your suggestions here... https://www.nch.com.au/suggestions/index.html?software=VideoPad Products target a certain marketing niche and can't please everybody. But keep an eye out for new effects as updated versions are released. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  13. Overlay the mp4 on the next higher audio track, under existing video and its linked sound (if any). Left-click, drag the mp4 on the sequence for precise placement. Here, audio track 1 is the sound for the A/V clip. Audio track 2 is music. Adjust its volume with the slider, or via the audio AMPLIFY effect.
  14. Import the audio file. It will appear under the Audio tab in the bin (top-left). Place the music on the next highest audio track, by either dragging it to the track from the bin or right-clicking it in the bin and choosing a placement option... Or use the ADD button. Click its arrow for the same placement options. View this tutorial... https://tinyurl.com/23xkallr
  15. Install the latest release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If that exports the same, let's see the project, for analysis. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... 16. What version of Videopad is being used? Look at the bottom-left corner of the VP window. What's the export resolution? Try a different one. If no improvement, please share the project. 17. Not seeing that here. Install this release and report back.
  18. Place the video on track 2. Drop a white, blank clip onto track 1...
  19. One approach... Place the background clip on track 1 and the counter on track 2. If desired, add the POSITION effect on track 2 to reposition the counter. Program the length of the counter clip to match the length of the background - 15 seconds in this example. Specify a mid-green color, choose the font, size, etc. Other colors will affect what hue choices are available in the next step... Apply the HUE effect to the counter track. Slowly move the slider to get the first color. Click the small green + sign above the graph to create a keyframe. Move the cursor to a later position and slowly move the hue slider to another color. This will create a second keyframe...and so on. The horizontal distance between keyframes determines the speed of the transitions. More space = slower; less space = faster. As it was programmed in this example. You may not get precisely the colors you want, but there will be a change - like this... Record_2022_10_17_18_13_57_775.mp4
  20. What Videopad version is being used? Look at the bottom-left of the window. Confirm that the PC's video driver and Direct-X are up to date. AMD / ATI users: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx Intel users: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.aspx nVidia users: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us Update DirectX: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/179113 Install the latest release. If that doesn't solve the issue, check back.
  21. Use multiple splits, increasing the speed with each. This example was originally thirty-seconds, it's now about eleven with six clips (five splits). Each split-out clip was five-seconds long prior to speed changes. #1 100% -- #2 200% -- #3 400% -- #4 600% -- #5 800% -- #6 1000% Ramp.mp4
  22. No, don't think it works that way. Administrator here as well, but still need to specify that for certain programs.
  23. Can't say why Run As Administrator has been required occasionally - it isn't here. You can right-click a shortcut to the Videopad executable, choose PROPERTIES | ADVANCED and set VP to always Run As Administrator. The current release is v12.13.
  24. Thanks for sharing the file privately. Loaded up in just seconds here - even in v12.12. Try the suggestions above.
  25. Version 12.12 is a beta test. Install this version instead. There's never a mandate to change versions. If yours is working well, consider sticking with it until a regular release has been out for awhile. The latest can always be test driven, to see what's new or changed. If that doesn't clear up the issue... Close the program, restart. Before loading anything, go to OPTIONS | DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files. No change? Close Videopad, then right-click on its executable (the launch file) and Run As Administrator. If still no joy, please share the file, and we'll check it out. Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."
