  1. File a suggestion, with specifics of what you have in mind. https://www.nch.com.au/suggestions/index.html?software=VideoPad Various keyframed effects can be added to text overlays, for position, size, transparency and so forth. And effects like Wave or Ripple... text.mp4
  2. These files are missing from the project folder (click to enlarge)... Please include only files that are actually used in the project. To remove those that are not, select all files in the appropriate bin (likely VIDEO), using <ctrl-A.> Then press the DEL key. Check mark the Do This For All box. Press the CANCEL button (not the delete key). Resave the project using Save AS, giving it a unique # or name. Then load that project and create the back-up (portable) folder as instructed above.
  3. Under OPTIONS | EDITING, the default is probably optimal... or the card can be manually chosen. You have a competent PC. GPU usage will vary with type of encoding, format, export settings, and card compatibility. It is utilized during export. Share a project here (or in private) for comparison. It's not difficult to do. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server. As to licensing... https://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/30631-using-vp-on-multiple-computers-with-one-license/
  4. On the linked page, there's no mention of 'ultimate', which may have been an earlier term. MASTERS and HOME are listed, though what's vended with the main download is shown as . Marketing.😉
  5. Here are the options: MASTERS (Professional) and HOME. A subscription is billed quarterly, with the likelihood that updates will be supplied as available. A one-time purchase comes with a six-month period of free updates (often just minor enhancements and minor fixes). After that, a fee is required. But it's not necessary to update if your version is doing the job. It won't expire. And newer releases can always be test driven, even if unlicensed. Just retain your purchased copy for reinstallation. If you have no use for the extras listed as bundles on the linked page above, then it's likely that the HOME version alone will do the job. You can always upgrade. Come back here if issues surface.
  6. 7.39 is old. Much GPU usage improvement has been made since. Update to the current release, which you can test drive unlicensed. GPU activity will vary, dependent upon source. If eligible, Lossless export will be very fast... https://www.nch.com.au/kb/10288.html Ketil's need to transfer to mobile may relate to his specific gear. That issue is being looked into. Videopad doesn't require an interim import step.
  7. Confirm that the video driver and Direct-X are current... https://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/kb/1772.html VP version 7.39 is very old. Install the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If unlicensed, the normal release has a trial period before certain features are disabled. And there's a link to a free, non-expiring release, with basic functionality. https://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/index.html If the problem persists, come back here.
  8. Don't spot any outlines on either image though the one at the left has a white line at the top. What effect is added? The images in your link don't fill a 16:9 frame, which leaves black borders top and bottom... If the CROP TO ASPECT RATIO effect is applied it will look like this... That effect may not be available in 7.51, which is very old, so some manual cropping or sizing may suffice. Check out the latest for the A/R effect, and see if the issue persists.
  9. Seems they are a little slow in removing the beta designation at times, but it's gone now. The 64-bit release. The versions offered on the NCH Videopad page have passed beta tests. Should a problem surface, please post specifics here. Though there is a six-month window for free updates, there's no need to do that if your version is working well - and it won't expire. You can always test drive the latest, to see what's new, then reinstall your purchase. For protection, Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar.
  10. If you download from the NCH site, it's the release, whether or not it lists "beta" at the top-right of the window. Here's a link to the current 64-bit version. You can give it a test drive, unlicensed, to get a feel of what it offers.
  11. Look at the splash screen at start up. Or click the 3-lined menu (top-left) | HELP | ABOUT. If 64-bit isn't listed, then it's 32. Install the 64-bit release. Then please share the project by following the above instructions.
  12. Check in here from time to time, for further developments.
  13. What's the Videopad version #? Look at the bottom-left corner of the window. Use this release. Please share your project so others can analyze it and come up with a solution. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately.
  14. Glad it worked out. Be sure to consult this HELP file and its links. Is this the "dividing line" that you are seeing? Resembles a cloud. Export doesn't seem quite right, and is being addressed.
  15. Example 1 (Maldives) seems to perform normally. Example 2 (a man) is a jumpy split screen - left and right. Perhaps something is being misunderstood here. Please upload the project, so others can inspect it. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. 16. The .02 was just a suggestion for eliminating the pops at a CUT. Programming a longer trans - like the 'open doors' - will do the same. Try the latest, to see if that fixes the issue. And please submit your project for testing. If there is an issue, it needs to be replicated. What version of VP is being used? Look at the left-bottom corner of the window.
  17. A PNG snap is saved by default to C:\Users\<account name>\Pictures but the path can be changed in OPTIONS | DISK tab. Open the file with a viewer - Windows Paint works well - and re-save as .jpg. AFAIK, Videopad saves snaps only as PNGs.
  18. A very short crossfade - .02 for example - shouldn't affect the music and won't be visible. It's good to stick with what works and there's never a mandate to update. The latest can always be test driven, even if unlicensed, to see what's new. The UI hasn't changed much. Just retain your paid installer and registration. What version are you using? Share the popping project if possible, so the issue can be analyzed... The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. 19. Two things to try... Install the current release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If that doesn't solve it, create very short dissolve transitions at the joins between clips. Let us know if that did the deed.
  20. There are no dumb questions ... just a learning curve. Normally, files should not be moved until the project is complete. If they have been, VP will prompt to find (resolve) them. Be sure to re-save the project. Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. That's your protection. If you want portable copies of all source files, as well as the VPJ control file that tells the program what to do, first have the completed project on the timeline. Then click the 3-lined Menu item (top-left) | FILE | SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS. That creates a numbered folder (likely in the PC's DOWNLOAD folder). But you can move or copy it anywhere, perhaps to an external drive. Open it and double-click the VPJ file to load the project - on any PC that has Videopad installed. Original source files are unaffected. When reloading a project, files will be restored quickly if the cache hasn't been cleared (OPTIONS | DISK tab). They're already in memory.
  21. How are they being applied? Normal behavior if added as transitions. If clips are moved then the trans between them is deleted. Add fades last. Or use the TRANSPARENCY effect instead, plotting keyframes that fade up from zero opacity (fade in) or down to zero (fade out). That isolates the fade.
  22. What version of Videopad is being used? Install the current release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If the issue isn't resolved, please share the full, complete project for analysis. Someone will take a look and come up with a fix. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. 23. Your best bet may be YouTube, which most folks can access on any number of devices. https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/9884579?hl=en
  24. File a suggestion for pressing the B key to add bookmarks while playing, without the pop up, as is possible with Wavepad. https://www.nch.com.au/suggestions/index.html?software=VideoPad
