  1. Animate the CENSOR effect... To begin, size the pixel grid and place it over the subject. Click the small green + sign above the grid to set the first keyframe. Advance the cursor to where the subject just moves out of the grid. Reposition the grid over the subject. (It can also be resized.) That automatically sets the second keyframe, and so forth. If you make a mistake press <ctrl-Z> (or EDIT | UNDO) to backtrack step-by-step. For more on animating, see... http://help.nchsoftware.com/help/en/videopad/win64bitpaid/effects_animating.html Untitled.mp4
  2. There's no setting, but agree that HEVC caching is very slow ... and that's been reported. It's doubtful that you will see deterioration with your content if shooting or converting to H264 (AVC) or a lesser resolution. That's the reason the link to the AVC export was supplied. Right-click and SAVE VIDEO AS. Then you can compare the quality of the AVC against the original. Sorry, but don't know the limitations of the Prism free version. Test it.
  3. There have been some reports of VP issues with certain cards. What are you running? Confirming that the drivers are current is wise. The default setting is used here.
  4. That was W11. Also tested your original VPJ (prior to trans fixes) on a low-end W10 I3 laptop running v12.28. Same export result; no hint of green or flicker. No harm in deleting temp/cache files. Try disabling GPU under OPTIONS | ADVANCED | Video Processor. Are the video driver and Direct-X current? 5. The original, exported in v12.33, has transition issues - though it makes it through the one at about :29 and no flicker or green is seen anywhere. Suggest that you delete the trans and reinstate it. That was the fix on the others.
  6. Try the Spotlight effect... Or grab a PNG transparent circle graphic from the Net and place it on the overlay track. Then position and size as desired. https://tinyurl.com/2kn3d78c Just an example...
  7. Caching for that 1.6GB HEVC file took 18:45. Once done, the file (or fully cached project) can be reloaded in just seconds - as long as the cache hasn't been cleared. Proxy editing would be a help here, where a smaller file is substituted for editing and the originals swapped back for export. It's common practice with many editors. Prism can batch convert files to smaller sizes, which will load much faster in VP. Your project might look just fine at lower resolution; no substitution necessary. If the camera can record using H264 encoding (which may be the case with the Sony camera), that should be speedier when importing into VP. Check the Sony's stats. One easy way to do that is to install MPC-BE, an all-purpose, free media player. Click the FILE menu, then PROPERTIES. This file.. Please leave your link up for a few days, if possible. After your original file was converted to AVC (H264) encoding at the same resolution it loaded in less than ten seconds.
  8. Select (highlight) all the clips on both tracks, using <ctrl-A> OR only those that you want to be kept in sync by holding down <ctrl> as each is clicked. Then right-click on any one of the selected clips and GROUP CLIPS. Now when the :20 clip is inserted into either track, the grouped clips in the other track will shift as well. In this example ALL clips were grouped. They then could be dragged to the left - in concert. Group.mp4
  9. It's unclear just what you have in mind. Please explain more fully, step-by-step. A new clip can be added to any track of existing clips that make up a sequence. Create a split where the clip is to be placed. Then drag the clip from the bin (top-left) to the split point. Alternatively... position the cursor at the split point and then right-click the new clip in the bin and Place on Sequence at Cursor.
  10. Many 'updates' are simply maintenance releases. If you recently purchased, the current v12.33 (64) should be fine. Just over-install it. No charge. And there's never a mandate to update; the release that you purchase will keep working, even after the six-month free upgrade grace period. You can always check out a newer version. Just retain your old installer and registration info. Please upload one of your Osmo files so others can see how it acts. And, yes, with UHD content, caching can take time.
  11. Using 32-bit 12.33, the transitions are normal on that project here - no green, no flicker - at suggested export settings. Several transitions had to be reprogrammed - turned off, then reinstated - in order to work correctly. Here's a link to the export.
  12. d2kr.avi Export isn't perfect, but looks very acceptable. This is one you might want to address directly to the company.
  13. Perhaps it will be sufficient to simply upload those clips... Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."
  14. There's no method to overcome that. File a suggestion... https://www.nch.com.au/suggestions/index.html?software=VideoPad As an alternative to fullscreen, undock the window instead and drag the borders to their limits.
  15. Sorry, but cannot replicate that here, as shown above. But give this a test... Go to OPTIONS | ADVANCED and in the bottom GPU Video Processor section click the caret and choose None (CPU Only). Any change? Submit a test project that has the issue...or perhaps the student's video can be shared privately via Personal Message. No one else will ever see it.
  16. 12.33 is the release used for the above test. Share your project and we'll take a look. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server. Here's the preview using pixelation... And the export...
  17. Testing here, with these settings... The clip preview... The export result... Try the current version and see if the issue persists for you. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  18. You should see better results in the current version. Give it a try.
  19. Ran it again twice, using the latest 64-bit version with the default export settings. :43 the first time, :27 the next. Export times can vary slightly.
  20. Send feedback to the company... https://www.nch.com.au/suggestions/index.html?software=VideoPad
  21. Using the current version, your original VPJ project was loaded and the subs were saved as an SSA file. Restarted the project without any subtitles, then loaded the SSA. After export, using the suggested resolution setting of 2000x1125, which matches your files, text positions appear to be accurate.
  22. Try the Old Cinema filter listed here... https://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/free-plugins.html
  23. If the issue comes up again, please share the project - as above - and note specifics where you see the problem.
  24. Using ZOOM animation, a result similar to this can be programmed... Untitled.mp4
  25. Well, install the latest and see if the issue persists. And share the project if possible, as instructed above, so someone here can analyze it. Mention where the problem lies.
