  1. Animation software may be your answer. Look at this... You might also post to the Express Animate forum. Perhaps a user can be helpful. Good luck!
  2. This seems to relate to the "export slow" thread and has been reported. As noted, it has been seen to some extent in another editor.
  3. Thanks for the test. Your results have been passed along.
  4. Use the Page Curl transition if this is what you have in mind... Turn.mp4
  5. After caching, play is seamless on the timeline. Jerkiness is seen on panned shots, but it's the same in another NLE, hinting that this may be a file issue. Test shooting at other formats or settings. After 30 minutes HEVC 4K @60fps Smart Max progress reports export is 7.5% completed, at video position 5:45 . Do the math - projects to about 13 hours. They're working on it. Suggestions... Use the 64-bit release. Break editing into ten-minute sequences. Export each, then assemble them later. Lower export resolution, at negligible quality loss IMO, to HD or 2K and try AVC (H264) encoding. Consider Proxies, to make loading faster and editing smoother.
  6. Can't spot these issues. Please share a multi-track project and list a few of your specific clip extension steps, so they can be tested by others... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  7. Thanks for sharing. The download was almost 20GB. VP reported numeous missing files - perhaps the ones that you didn't mean to include. Thus, there are many gaps in the timeline. Because the project is 4K, caching time would be inordinate for its full 39 minutes. This suggests using Proxy editing, a common practice with NLEs where much smaller files are edited, then the original are substituted at export. https://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/26563-proxy-editing/ to greatly reduce PC load. Or the project might be broken into small chunks - perhaps a few gigs each - with each exported, and later assembled into the final. Using the 64-bit 12.33 release, the gaps were eliminated and a one-minute, two-second extract was exported at 480, AVC, 60fps. That took about 15 minutes. Extrapolating from that, export of the full project at HEVC 4K seems prohibitive. The jerkiness on panned shots shows up in another NLE as well, though they are clean in a viewer?? The program is being constantly improved and these issue have been reported. Stay tuned.
  8. Ripple applies to a GAP, as when deleting a clip. Right-click CUT and DELETE (ripple) often do the same thing. Right-click | DELETE should leave a gap. When extending a clip those to the right will naturally move right. That's correct, and there's no gap. If audio/video are linked, they will track. To apply a simultaneous move to other clips, first select them. Then right-click a selected clip and GROUP CLIPS. To keep unlinked audio tracks in place, right-click at the left of the track and LOCK it. To extend a clip while shortening the beginning of the following clip, first shorten that clip by dragging its leading edge. Hold <alt> to prevent rippling. This should leave a gap. Extend the prior clip to fill the gap. In case of a mistake, hit <ctrl-Z> (UNDO | EDIT) to go back, step-by-step. If possible, let's see a video of the action that you dislike, as what you describe is unclear. Upload to a free server, get a public (shared) link and post it here. Extending a clip... ripple.mp4 Extending (hold down <alt>) while overriding (shortening) the following clip... shortening.mp4 These behaviors have varied with different versions through the years, but you can always test holding down <shift> or <alt> to achieve your goal.
  9. Upload a portion of your project that you have timed at export. We'll see how it compares here, using hardware similar to yours.
  10. Click the Sequences tab above the bin (top-left), then click on the sequence thumbnail. If there's no Sequences tab, click the + sign to the right of sequence 1 above the timeline to add a new blank sequence. Under the preview window, drag the red [ bracket to the far left and the blue ] bracket to the far right. There should be no shading on the thumbnails. Now try exporting. If that doesn't succeed, let's take a look, and it will quickly be solved... Share your project. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... 11. Backing up the project in Videopad should take only seconds... Share your project. Someone will take a look and come up with a fix. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server. But depending upon size, uploading to a server can be time consuming. Try the latest release. Even unlicensed, it can be test driven. 11.30 can be reinstalled at any time.
  12. Export H265 bitrate settings shown in v12.33 here are A # can also be inputted manually. But that's no guarantee that the codec is capable of the specified bitrate. As for slow exports, please share your project so it can be analyzed. This takes but a few minutes and can be private to me via the envelope at the top of this forum. 13. When you say "mounted for 30 hours" are you referring to loading and caching of a project or actual editing once all content is cached? Slow HEVC loading is being studied by the programmers. Proxy editing or AVC content can work around it. When you state "80MB/sec bitrate are your referring to the export video settings?
  14. ¿Registraste el programa? Haga clic en el menú ARCHIVO, el elemento "registrarse" en la parte inferior. Los bloqueos pueden deberse a controladores de vídeo obsoletos o a Direct-X. 15. In full-screen mode try the space bar to start/stop play.
  16. Two things to try... 1. Close Videopad. Go to Windows Control Panel | ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS and delete Videopad. 2. Use Windows Explorer (the file manager) to delete all files in these folders... "C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components" "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components" (or files may be in a similar path without the x86) Reinstall the latest VP release. Did that help?
  17. Please see the new thread: "Video Effects Unavailable"
  18. It's possible that higher end video via a dedicated card would improve performance. Another thing to test is under OPTIONS | ADVANCED and choose None (CPU only). That should eliminate the graphics adapter from the equation, though rendering might be slower. If you take a few minutes to share the project, as instructed above, someone here will see how it performs for them and report back.

    Convert vpj

No need to panic. The VPJ file is what tells the program where the source files are and how to handle them. For protection, Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the caret to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. This creates VPJ files. Once done, clicking on any saved VPJ file will reload the project. Don't delete or move any of the source files. Export is not a conversion, but creation of a video file. Mp4 is the default, but there are many other formats. Using the free version, try the following... Export as an AVI instead of mp4. If that's locked out delete Videopad via Windows Control Panel | ADD/REMOVE programs, then reinstall the current version, which will be a trial if not registered, but fully featured for a short time. Double-click your latest saved VPJ. Then export as a video file. Mp4 will likely succeed. If these measures don't work for you, come back here for further instructions.
  20. Perhaps https://www.compression.ru/video/cartoonizer/index_en.html has the info you require, or a contact where the source code can be had.

  23. Try deleting those files. And share the project or portion thereof, if possible.
  24. Does the distortion apply to a file that is of a different format than others? What format? Share the file or that portion of the project and someone will check it out. Perhaps it's a codec? issue? Something to try on the laptop... Close VP, then delete all files in these folders. Reboot and reinstall Videopad. 25. Screenshot LINKS are possible... https://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-get-help-how-to-share-a-screenshot-or-project/?do=getLastComment Go into OPTIONS | MEDIA and UNcheck the "normalize external" box. Clear Unused Cache Files under the OPTIONS | DISK tab. Restart Videopad and load the project. Any change?
