  1. Each time VP is installed there may be a slight variation in features or operation. It's a marketing thing. Reinstall it - several times if necessary - and Pan and Zoom w/AR should appear. No need to re-download.
  2. Simply reinstall Videopad (no need to download). May take a number of attempts. Each time that's done there can be slight variability in features and operation. This is a marketing thing. Messing with the registry is not advised.
  3. Yes, but the left and right channels are not separate, but mixed into MONO. What's sought here is an individual mono file for each.
  4. Good to know. Perhaps an incompatibility with your video adapter. What are your PC's specs: CPU/GPU? And did you install the latest? Thanks.

    Blur part

Use the CENSOR effect with an oval shape. Alternatively, try the BLUR effect on the jpg and place it on track 1 Place the same jpg - no blur - on track 2 On track 2, mask the desired area - use a circle from the preset drop-down menu... Add the TRANSPARENCY effect, with low opacity...
  6. Select the to be zoomed clips by holding down <ctrl> while left-clicking each. Click the FX icon on any of those clips. Choose ZOOM and adjust the parameters. Click the toolbar icon that sports the green checkmark. The effect will be applied to all selected clips. No need to remove the splits.
  7. There's no provision for enlarging the sliders and its icons. But the edit window can be dragged or maximized to fill the screen.
  8. There was no link to an image in your post. See https://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-get-help-how-to-share-a-screenshot-or-project/?do=getLastComment If this is what you have in mind, the scroll wheel should activate it - after clicking the focus to a clip in the sequence. No need to hold <ctrl>. The same can be accomplished by the slider or the + and - icons at the bottom-right of the window... Mouse over to see what they do. Expand.mp4
  9. What are your PC's specs: CPU/GPU/RAM? Two things to try... Install this release. It may or may not be the same as the one you're using now. Under OPTIONS | ADVANCED, change the GPU processor item (at the bottom) to None (CPU only). Then restart Videopad. If these measures don't fix the issue, please take a few minutes to share the project. Someone will come up with a fix. Follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  10. The object here isn't conversion, but a mono export (Save) of a single component channel. Thanks for the shout.
  11. Is there a means to export a single (stereo) channel in MONO?
  12. What format and resolution are the clips? Let's take a look. Create a project where it happens and share it for analysis please. This takes just a few minutes and can be private. Follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. 13. No reports of that seen here. The latest. What are the source files? At what point does it crash? Any error messages? Check this out. Old versions are here.
  14. This may be a different issue than Alan's, but he hasn't yet supplied a file. When you refer to "saving" the file, are you exporting it? Let's see your mp4, and we'll get to the bottom of this. Sharing is easy and takes but a few minutes. Just follow this instruction... Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."
  15. Thanks for sharing. Your voice is on the left, but very softly, with guitar at the right. Might this be a function of Scarlett? Check with them on options for a MONO output from each line. The mix can be achieved post production though... UNlink the audio. Right-click and Save Audio Clip As New File. On the MAC, open that file with Wavepad and follow the instructions above. Individual channels can be edited for volume, EQ, etc., to achieve the desired mix, then exported as MONO. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pY3GUtLdXMA The result, with channels normalized but not changed in amplitude, has been linked in a PM.
  16. Be sure to read this, though it's Windows centered... http://help.nchsoftware.com/help/en/videopad/win64bitpaid/content_recordaudio.html No MAC or Scarlett here to test, but we may be able to sleuth if you record both vocal and guitar, then save the project. Share it here or in private. Just follow these steps... Share your project. Someone will take a look and come up with a fix. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. 17. When you say "recording a new video" - is this video a file that contains video and audio? What format? Share the file here... Someone will check it out. Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view." Install the current release and see if it does the same. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Be sure that the balance slider at the left of the audio track is centered. If it's still an issue, open the file in WavePad. Ignore the option to open in Videopad. Click the STEREO button, Click the caret and from the drop-down menu choose MONO. Click CONVERT and save the file. Back in Videopad, unlink the audio by right-clicking on the clip and making that choice. Then substitute the MONO file for the original.
  18. Thanks for sharing. Using v13.03, the 5760x2880 export choice is available, apparently picked up from the source resolution. VP may have defaulted to re-encode when it appeared to Losslessly handle a sharpened file. This should not be possible. For an explanation on why 5760x2880 succeeded, please see the PM.
  19. Lossless has definite restrictions, and they haven't changed AFAIK... Lossless export provides the highest quality video. It does this by re-encoding your video file only when required. Some editing functions require your video to be re-encoded on export. These include adding transitions, adding effects or exporting to a different file type than the original file. A full list of criteria for lossless export is listed below. There are three options in the lossless export drop-down list. Auto Detect - This is the default setting. If the majority of your video does not need to be re-encoded, it will automatically be exported with the lossless setting. If the majority of your video needs to be re-encoded, lossless export will not be used. Use Lossless Export - When this setting is selected, if your video meets the criteria for lossless editing below, lossless export will be used. Only portions of the video that need to be re-encoded will be re-encoded, the remainder will use lossless export. Off (Re-encode Video) - When this setting is selected, your entire video file will be re-encoded. Lossless export will not be used. Depending on your selection, you will see your other file setting options adjust to meet the requirements of your lossless export selection. The following criteria must be met by the input/output videos for lossless export to be used: We currently support H.264 and MPEG4 encoder video sources. The output format must match the input format. Supported formats are .avi, .mkv, .mov, .mp4 The output and input must have the same dimensions, encoder profile, levels and extradata. Visual effects are not supported. Any segments of your video that include visual effects will be re-encoded. At least 10% of your sequence must meet the criteria for lossless editing. If less than 10% of the sequence meets the criteria, the entire sequence will be re-encoded during export.
  20. So would others apparently. Check back if you glean more info.

    Size mismatch

With the clip in the bin (not yet on the timeline) right-click on it and test the various LETTERBOX ratios. You might also try CROP CENTER. If that doesn't do the job, right-click and open Video Effects. Test the similar drop-down box presets...
  23. Further testing revealed that AVC in 13.03 is using about 5% GPU, at any OPTIONS | Advanced setting. In 10.43 GPU peaks at 100%. That would certainly explain it - dependent upon video adapter. Thanks for your sleuthing.
  24. Starting with a :31 4K mp4 clip, with the effects that you specified, two mp4 projects were created - one AVC and the other HEVC. For each test, using 64-bit releases, cache was cleared prior to project loading. GPU settings were at the Default. In 13.03 the AVC project fully cached in :52. The HEVC took 2:10. In 10.43 the AVC project fully cached in :09. The HEVC took 2:23. For export of the HEVC project - to HEVC.mp4, v13.03 took 2.34; v10.43 took 3:54. Starting with a :44 mp4 1440x1080 clip, with the efx that you specified, two more mp4 projects were created - one AVC and the other HEVC. In 13.03 the AVC loaded in :03. The HEVC took :18. In 10.43 the HEVC loaded in :03. The HEVC took :21. For export of the HEVC project - to HEVC.mp4, v.13.03 took :18; v10.43 took :26. So, the sole significant discrepancy spotted was the AVC :31 clip load - 10.43 was about five times faster. Otherwise, 13.03 won. It's been reported.
