  1. Looks to be a capable system. Perform a RAM Memory test. Prior to loading a new project, go to OPTIONS | DISC tab and Clear Unused Cache Files. This can be done during editing as well. In the same window, the cache can also be pointed to another drive - preferably an SSD. There's no obvious reason for your issues. Try a reinstall.
  2. The blue area is normal when <shift> is pressed like this. The position of the pointer when <shift> is clicked defines the selection area. Right-click it for options. The blue selection can also be drawn by placing the pointer on the red cursor in the thumbnail area. It becomes a two-headed arrow. Drag it. selection.mp4 To create a link to files, upload them to a free server, get a shared (public) link, and post it here. If using Google Drive change "restricted" to "anyone can view." Holding <ctrl> while clicking clips selects them individually. To select a range hold <shift>, click the first clip and then the last. All in the range will be selected. When moving a typical clip that has linked audio and video, shifting either will shift both, to maintain sync. If that's not desired, right-click on the video or audio track of the clip and UNlink.
  3. It's not unusual to see the export ribbon restart several times, but after a short while progress should be steady and fully complete. Share your project and we'll check export performance. Post a link here or privately. Takes just minutes - just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  4. Seems that you may be referring more to 'snapping' than ripple. That behavior may vary with each install and has changed through the years as decisions (based on user input) were made. In 13.x, here just now, dragging right at a clip boundary never snaps, <alt> or no <alt>. A gap is left. And a right-click | CUT ripples. So does right-click | RIPPLE or pressing the DEL key. A right-click | DEL leaves a gap. All grouped clips are affected and this seems consistent if the intended clips are selected. Miss one, and it's messed up, of course. If possible, create a video that clearly displays unwanted behavior. File suggestions at https://www.nch.com.au/suggestions/index.html?software=VideoPad
  5. List those PC specs, please. And share your project, as instructed above, if you have the time. That helps to solve problems. Try this version, which may export faster. Speed issues are being worked on. Stay tuned to this thread for updates.
  6. Speed issues are being addressed. Try this release, and report back. Ignore any virus warnings. What format, size and file type is slow to cache? Stay tuned to this thread for updates.
  7. Thanks for that. Your PC has both AMD and Intel HD. VideoPad allows the user select which one to use. Please test each and let us know which causes the issue. Go to OPTIONS | ADVANCED and at the bottom click the caret for the drop-down menu.
  8. If the latest doesn't solve the issue, please share your project for analysis. This takes just minutes, is not difficult and can be private. Just follow these steps... Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server. If you have a licensed version, it won't expire and can always be reinstalled. Newer releases can be test driven, to see if they solve problems or have useful features.
  9. Glad it succeeded. Please list your PC's specs and Videopad version #, for further investigation.
  10. Good to hear. Please list the specs of your computer: GPU/CPU/RAM/ and free space on the drive.
  11. Please share your project for analysis. Just follow the easy steps below. In the interim, click the blue Default Quality / Filesize link and make this setting... Any change? 12. When you state "top picture" do you mean the first video in the exported file? What are your PC's specs: CPU/GPU/RAM? What version of VP is running? (Look at the top-left corner of the window.) Submit that project for analysis.
  13. When you get the time, please submit the project as instructed above. Someone will check it out. There should be no H264 or H265 problem at export.
  14. The 'white' hints that the program isn't responding. This could be a PC issue. Did you confirm that the video driver and Direct-X are current? What format are the files being loaded when it freezes or crashes? What are your PC's specs: GPU/CPU/RAM/free disk space?
  15. What are your PC's specs: GPU/CPU? Where are you seeing this - in preview or after export. What version of VP is being used? Try the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If that doesn't help, go to OPTIONS | ADVANCED tab and in the GPU processor area at the bottom, choose None (CPU only) from the drop-down menu. Please report back which measure, if any, succeeded.
  16. Took about fifteen seconds to export normally here, using the latest release with default settings. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Try running Videopad as administrator. Right-click on the the executable and make that choice. Also try the suggestion in the post below.
  17. Using 13.03 <crtl-Z> restores a deleted keyframe though the SHOW MASK box may get checked. UNcheck it. To delete keyframes, right-click on the keyframe square.
  18. You are simply importing a clip from your PC into Videopad? What format (MOV, mp4, AVI, etc.) are these video/audio clips? What resolution (HD, 2K, 4K)? Reboot the PC. Install the latest release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  19. Strange indeed. Have you checked the Windows microphone settings? Right-click, then click PROPERTIES. Does the same thing occur when using Windows Voice Recorder to create a file? Try a reinstall of Videopad. Here's the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  20. FADE IN/OUT are usually done with transitions. Click the X icon between clips... If the icon isn't visible, expand the timeline by using the slider at the bottom-right of the window... Fades can also be programmed via the TRANSPARENCY effect.
  21. You could load a clip, isolate the section that you want, and export it. Then us the exported result for your project. If it's exported LOSSLESSly, no quality will be lost. Check this out too.
  22. Assuming this is a direct upload from VP to YT, do you see the same if the project is saved as a video file, then viewed in a player? What are your PC's specs: CPU/GPU/RAM? Install the latest release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Go into OPTIONS | ADVANCED tab and in the GPU processor section drop-down menu choose None (CPU only). Which measure, if any, succeeded?
  23. That's the ticket. Thanks for chiming in!
  24. Perhaps you weren't persistent enough. 🙂 Having that feature vanish took five reinstalls here. Some beta features don't make the cut, and are unavailable in later releases. Others become permanent.
