  1. It is interesting that you replied to this post from 2010! I have the same issue and created a new thread about it since I did not see this old one. When I enter an item and then need to enter a serial number in the description field below the item I get the same issue. There is no option that asks to create or not create the item, simply the message stating that I need to enter an item code. If the software did what the post from 2010 says then the problem would be solved! Very frustrating that this simple function is not available... enter a comment into an unused description line item. If anyone finds a solution, please post here or in my thread named: Enter serial number comment below an item
  2. I am not very familiar with the software since I only downloaded it yesterday, but from what I have read and see, you can choose the starting number, but then the software counter takes over. You can also add a number prefix (optional), but that is it. Good luck getting support on this product. I am considering buying it, but with the complete lack of support for the most basic of questions, I am thinking that there is no point in even trying to use this software. The reviews I have read are also very negative regarding support. Even the platinum support plan only gives you a few e-mail and I believe 2 phone calls and if you don't use them, 3 months later you are out because they expire. This is a real load of crap! It is a shame because the Express Invoice product itself seems very flexible and easy to use with an attractive price, but if the developer is not going to properly support it then what is the point of getting it?
  3. If he bought the product then he should receive his registration information by e-mail and be able to enter it under Tools - Register Software. With the purchase of this software he also gets "premium" support from NCH and should be able to get support directly from them as opposed to hoping an answer is posted by the community in this forum. I am new to Express Invoice as of yesterday and I am testing the trial version before buying, but from what I have read in this forum the support is far from good. There seems to be zero support from NCH in this forum even with the most basic of questions. This lack of support is making me think that buying this software is a bad idea.
  4. I have downloaded and installed the latest version of Express Invoice. I am running it on Windows 8 Pro x64 in English. I have imported all of my products and clients from CSVs and updated the information as needed. When I create an invoice and enter items I need to enter a serial number below each item. If I enter the serial number in the description field on the line below the item in question I am unable to record the invoice. I can save it as a draft and preview it. If I delete the serial number lines I can save the invoice. How do you enter comments/serial numbers below line items?
