Editing portions of a track with MixPad/WavePad

I have a 5-track recording. I want to increase the volume of one portion of track no. 3 and leave the remainder of track no. 3 and the other tracks at their current volume. Can I do this by using WavePad and save the edited portion back into track 3 on MixPad? JukeboxJunkie1
