  1. I can't get sound from any file that was not recorded with multiple channels, including the welcome sound clip that comes with the program. The program runs the files, and its sound bar bounces around like everything's fine, but nothing's getting through my speakers. When I look at the Volume Mixer in Windows 7, the program's volume just stays completely full, as if it's not getting through correctly. Audio files with channels play just fine. I've been using Express Scribe for a few months now with no troubles. I recently had to reformat Windows 7. I have a laptop with its original recovery disc, and it seems like I have the same drivers installed. I used Express Scribe for a few days just fine, but this problem suddenly began when I just loaded a new file. Not even files that worked previously will transmit sound anymore. I have no problem playing these files in any other program. I have tried rebooting many times, reinstalling the program many times, running CCleaner in between uninstalls, and installing several older versions of the program, all to no avail. I can't seem to find any record of anyone else having this issue. I feel like I caused this problem somehow, but I don't know what the problem could be. Any ideas?
