  2. I had the same annoying problem when I switched computers and had to download a new version of Express Scribe, which I could see was now a "Trial Version." I tried several re-installs, to no avail. In the process I lost some audio files I had not yet transcribed. While I was waiting (several days) to be approved to post here, I contacted NCH about the issue, and got this reply: There is a 14 day free trial, but if you want to use the free version without expiration, go to Start--> Control Panel --? add/remove software and start the removal process of Express Invoice. You will see an option to downgrade to the free version. Regards, Dave NCH Customer Service Team My Scribe still says it is a trial version, but other than that, as far as I can tell, this has solved the problem. I have to wonder though, is it too much bother to keep the free version available for those who don't need greater functionality?
