Hi, I have received a voice recording made to a stick mic on a PC, however the small room I guess the guy used has caused the voice to sound like it was recorded in a small room ! I need it to sound as if it is being spoken out of doors. I wouldnt call it echo, as echo means hearing each word again a split second or even longer afterwards. Reverberation is also too grand an effect unless it comes in many guises ! How do I rid the recording of this using Wavepad and make it sound normal as if he was outdoors ? There is also a steady hum throughout from a machine, I can remove that by sampling and applying filter. Merlin

Hi, I am not after a stereo effect where waveforms of a speech recording differ slightly in both channels, i simply dont want the right ear only with the speech, so need to somehow get the waveform in both channels. How can I do this. Another reason, with the recording being played out of both speakers at a show, along with other true stereo recordings, I dont want th speech parts coming out of one speaker ! Without time consuming duplication and assembly of a 1min audio segment until its 12mins long, can I somehow loop its playback when saving the final tracks which together make 12mins into a 12min duration single track file ? Merlin

Hi, I have been running the free version of Wavepad for a year. I am landed with the task of some urgent sound editing. I visit its website, assume the latest FREE version would be worth installing as it may bring in some extra goodies to assist. I also download the MASTERS version free trial as I may try this out sometime also, even that has a free trial period. I see that both files are the same name but having downloaded to separate named folders, with the free one first to a folder called standard wavePad thats no problem. I install the free one, I made no mistake, definitely the free one, opt for the burner and other extras during install, they all prompt me for money and trial expired, I dont usually need them so skip these. Cause PC crash. reboot. launch my fully functional wavepad and it says trial expired, please purchase and closes on me !!!! It simply refuses me access now and leaves me no alternative but to pay money to continue using the free program !!!!!!!!! At top of screen it now says Masters , so I reckon that file downloaded from the free link has the wrong file associated with it. Even so, the website says:- A full list of WavePad Masters Edition's features follow but a quick way to try it out is to download and install now. You don't need to purchase to download and it only takes a couple of minutes to complete the process (click here to install). After you have tested Masters Edition and love it, you can purchase a location license (click here to purchase). so it should still be free, for the moment, even if it is the wrong file linked to NCH download button. What is going on, now I cannot do the urgent work. All I can think is that wavepad site doesnt give download of the free one when you click download, and it saw that the existing one has been used longer than its trial period for Master, so as its gone on as Master, it says expired. Google said Free music editing software for the NCH site, , first page it has and the only page, download button, so one assumes thats it, then it screws up the free prog I already had....just great ! Any way out of this please anyone ? Merlin

Having downloaded both Switch Sound and WavePad and got half a Mb file each, is that truly the programs, seems very small, would fit a floppy !...or does it when launched pull down from the net a bigger file ? merlin

Hi, just about to try this prog out as I wish to merge together a voice recording and two sound recordings, thats three files to be made into one, being able to control the volume and pitch of each. I read on the website:- >>Ability to work with multiple files at the same time in seperate screens.<< but also read this thread >>can only play one file at a time<< sory but confused, can it do what I seek, can I play the files and hear the effect of how I currenly have them set up, like what I hear then choose combine tracks etc ? Is there a library of sounds, I actually need radio static for the final result ! Merlin
