My pictures in the slideshow creator all look pixellated. When I preview them on full screen they are seriously pixellated. What can I do about this?

Having successfully inserted a piece of text into a picture I then mistakenly added and saved an empty text box which is stuck in the middle of the picture. Is there a way of deleting this box? ( I'm new to Photopad)
