I need to transfer a log as it is being built. I have Fling setup to run every 5 minutes and update (transfer) the file if it has changed. I have run into a problem. On one computer, everything runs fine and the file is updated as needed. [i get an upload error, but the file still transfers.] On the other computer, the file will not upload and is apparently an issue with the software writing the log or the operating system (XP). Fling is unable to read the file as long as the program writing it is running. As soon as the program is closed or moves to the next day, the file will upload. But, I need to be able to transfer it while the program is running. On another machine, also XP, this is not a problem -- the log file is transfer with any problem or interference to the program that is creating it.
I've tried changing sharing and other things, but nothing seems to work.
