Hi all. I'm new to the forum. I've been using Express Scribe for a while on windows and loved it. I just switched to mac and am having an issue. I use hotkeys to play and stop video and to back it up 5 seconds. In case it matters, I use tab for stop, ` for play, and tab + control to back up 5 seconds. The issue i'm having is whenever I use a hotkey the Multi-Channel Display pops up and becomes the active window. Then I have to reach over and click the mouse on express scribe so I can type again. This is obviously very frustrating because it slows me down a lot. Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue? I eventually want to buy a USB foot pedal but that is still down the line so I need a solution for now. A related minor issue I've always had is the lack of a hotkey that toggles play/stop instead of having to have one for each. Other programs had it but I didn't like them as much as Express Scribe. If there's a fix for that I'd be thrilled! Thanks in advance for your help!
