Dave in MT

Hello, I'm new and just got things hooked up. Trying to capture video; all the default settings in the Capture Video window seem to be OK; I can control the camera using the Device Settings... dialog box. Trouble is, I enter a file name, start the camera, press the record camera, and it plays on the camera but there is no image (nor does the counter go) on the screen. When I click stop, I get the error "Could not get exclusive read access to file <filename.mp4>". I'm running Windows XP; is this a permissions issue? I do have Carbonite installed...is there a known issue with that? Thanks!
