This is because Axon now supports MWI (Message Waiting Indicator) In order for this to work the extension in Axon must have “Transfer to Voice Mail Extension:” set and be pointing to an answer system such as NCH IVM that supports MWI To stop the errors go to your phone setup and switch of the subscription to MWI
  2. Just set up two dial plans. One "Standard" plan with access to all external lines Another one "Internal Only" with no call routes and “If none of the above applies, dial on line” set to [Extension] Now when you set up a extension you set to either a call plan for most users to “Standard” or “Internal Only” to prevent them calling anything but another extension
  3. Three suggestions In external lines, advanced options tick the box to always relay audio. Secondly ensure your router is forwarding the audio ports 8000-8499 (TCP & UDP) to the local IP address for your Axon PBX. Thirdly make sure the external address of your router is correctly entered into the main program setup. Don’t use stun. If you have fixed IP use that, if not register with No-IP or Dyndns.org to get an external name that resolves to your IP and put that name in the external IP address.
  4. Assuming you have routers with firewalls on both side. Axon Setup Ensure your router is forwarding 5060 (Signal) and 8000-8499 (Audio) ports (TCP & UDP) to the internal IP of the server. You need an external address for your server. If you have a fixed IP you can use that, if not register with either No-IP or Dyndns.org to get a domain name that points to your internet IP address. Now set up the extension you want to register. Remote setup Depending on your phone you now need to work out the signal port Audio Ports, for my Polycom IP500 this is 5065 and 4000-4049, you need to check on your specific model details. In my example the remote router need to forward ports 5065 (Signal) and 4000-4049 (Audio) ports (TCP & UDP The phone must have a fixed IP address on DCHP allocated. Now forward the ports 5065 (Signal) and 4000-4049 (Audio) to the IP of the phone. Then register the phone to the extension number at the external address of the Axon router (either the IP or domain name you registered on port 5060 Final Set UP Make sure the external IP address in Axon is set the external IP or domain name of your router and in extension set up tick “Always Relay Audio” to ensure the audio streams is forced between the server a remote phone not directly between the internal and external phone when the audio will probably fail with one way audio.
  5. I have set this up for someone in the past, it does work but it has problems. Firstly you need to set IMS as a server on port 606 and also as an extension on the PBX If you want the player to cut in when a call first arrives go to the Group section of Axon and change the hold options to Link to IMS On-Hold Player and enter the IP of the server running IMS (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:606). This will cause Axon to answer the incoming call and play the on hold music while the extensions ring. To use the IMS Player for calls put back on hold your phone must support MOH. I use polycom IP500, IP501, Lynksys ATA’s and Grandstream ATA’s. The IP501 and Linksys ATA’s support this function but older Polycom’s and Grandstreams do not. Find the MOH settings in the phone and set it to the extension you registered the IMS to. Now when a call is put on hold the phone effetely transfers the call to that extension so the caller hears the music on hold and recovers the call when taken of hold, a sort of three way conference. However this will not work with all providers. If you are using a bridge to a PSTN line (SPA3102 etc) it should work fine. However when a call is placed on hold Axon sends the on hold signal to the service provider, in some cases your music might play, however it is more likely the service providers music will cut in over riding yours, or the service provider will cut in just play a beep. There are no settings in Axon to over ride the on hold signal to the service provider. The on hold music will never play on an internal call, just a beep.
  6. If you can dial using a SIP phone directly logged onto the account then the problem must be that Axon is dialing a different number to the one you actually dial. The problem is most likely in the call plan. An example might be where you have allocated dial (9) to use the line but failed to strip the first digit, so you dial (9) (1234) (56789) and the actual number sent to your provider is 9123456789 which is not recognized and rejected. If you change the plan to strip the digit you will dial (9) (1234) (56789) but your service provider will receive 123456789 and the call will go through. I would double check your call plan.
  7. Yes I have seen this problem, it depends on the service provider and there no configuration in Axon to change the settings. If I remember correctly it only effects out bound calls.
  8. In external lines , advance options try adding a unique identifier in the “Prepend digit(s) to caller ID” this should help you see which line is calling.
  9. Yes Assuming you are using a normal internet connection (Dynamic IP) you need a domain name. The easiest way is register with someone like No-Ip.com or Dyndns.org. Once you are registered, let’s say with the name (axon.dyndns.org) now pointing to your current public IP you need to set up an external line. Give it a name (anything will do) then an ID Lets say (1000) and a password for safety. Set the line to ring the extension you want the calls to go let’s say (100) then tick the “Other device will contact us”. Now when a caller contacts 1000@axon.dyndns.org extension 100 will ring and can take the call. Don’t for get to forwards Ports 5060 and 8000-8499 from your router to the server private IP if you are behind a router.

    I am trying to move an Axon install to another computer for some one, does anyone were I can obtain an installation for version 2.03
