Well I am gob smacked!
I have been using this product for 3 months now and on the whole it has done what it says on the tin.
Produce and invoice and allow me to assign account expenses.
But then someone in 3.04 - 3.25 decided to start changing how things work and now my data is completly up the creek!
Ie I cant see what my outstandning invoices are - although I see a note on the FAQ saying that you now apply payments to a customer oppose to invoices.
Which makes sence and is fine - however, because I like probably like the most of you have been applying customer payments by opening the invoices and selecting paid. I now have 3 months worth of data that is now sitting truncated from the rest of my customers database.
Ie go to payment can see all their invoices even the ones that have been paid.
So I tried a number of steps,
I tried to first of delete the item from the list - this didnt work and deleted the invoice. Dough so restored from backup
Next I got all the invoices (that when you go into them clearly say are paid ) and selected them for payment went to look at my unpaid invoices and it said -30,000 !! - so restored from backup
Next I thought well maybe it needs to have the process of the paid selection moving again so I went into the 'paid' invoice and selected paid came back out when to customer payments and guess what
It was indeed still in there smiling at me!
No the numbers I think add up which are the unpaid invoices which is fine.
But I cant go into each customer and see 1000 of invoices that have already been paid in the system with no way of getting rid of it.
To make maters worse I cant downgrade to the old version as I cant find it any where.
I note another glitch in the software as well - when you apply a payment transaction - those of you that have templates added to the system you used to be able to press TAB once you had finished with the amounts field to go to the next item.
With 3.25 it deletes the items in the list so you have to reload the template from scratch and press enter at each step.
I recommended that for ease of use they should give the ability to select the template type from a drop down list at the top of the form .
As we know appart from the date and the invoice number they all get deleted once you have selcted the account template.
I have passed comments on to the team, asked them for help and as yet nothing to help me out with my data.
