As a new user who complained that I was unable to monitor the sound while recording, Version 1.50, which I was able to download as an update, could be the answer. My Dell Inspiron 6400 now allows one to hear the sound while the recording is being made.

Pending a change in the software, is it possible to have an adapter connected to the Tape Deck so that one lead could go to the PC (Golden Records)and the other to the usual sockets on the amplifier. The recording could then be heard. Thanks for any advice on this subject.
