Are you certain that you can't use the 'save file as' function? (I can't test, since I have the master's edition - I don't know what the 'standard' edition is...) At any rate, the answer is yes; you can save in many formats, including mp3.

Once you have the tracks loaded into the window, in the order you want, click on the Burn Audio CD button on the lower right. This will bring up the Burn Audio CD dialogue box. Here click on the radio button 'Burn Session At Once to customize pause' and enter the duration (in seconds) you wish between tracks.

A couple of thoughts... Are you on a mac or pc? I don't know if that has any bearing on your issue, but I have only pc experience. How did you record from your record player to a usb - what software? I have only used NCH Golden Records to accomplish this, recording from turntable > stereo > computer. (Obviously whatever you did must have worked since you can listen to the files via itunes.) My personal recommendation, which might be subject to differing opinions, would be to record, and edit the tracks/files as wav files (on a pc) and then convert to mp3. My uneducated guess is that your issue has something to do with mac compatibility, but then I am just guessing. WavePad is a very useful and powerful software that I use regularly. But as I said, I generally work with wav files, and then convert to mp3 (if that is what I want.) Anyhow, sorry that your experience has discouraged your view of the software, but I bet if you learn to work with it you will find it useful.

WavePad is for editing audio files. With a little bit of research, it looks like ffmpeg16 has something to do with video format/conversion. If you could more specifically describe your workflow someone here might possibly be able to assist.

While it isn't a bad idea to submit an issue to support, I'd also hesitate to rule out posting here in the forum. For one, there might be a fellow user who has some insight to a solution. Secondly, surely there are other users such as myself who follow the forum(s) and are interested in what issues, and solutions might occur.

Drag and drop is as simple as: open the program, minimize the window enough so you can see the open folder containing the tracks you want add, select the tracks and drag them onto the program window. You can drag in more files, remove files, reorder files........

I've waited to see what replies this topic might incur, but as nothing has surfaced I will chime in. First off, there is not enough info clearly stated to fully understand what the issue is, or how to approach it. (A common occurrence in these forums) I don't know where to begin with my questions, but for starters 1) are you using a new computer, or have you upgraded a computer from win7 to win10? 2) Surely you are not saving your 'years of music' in Express Burn project files (as it is only a burning program and your source files must be stored somewhere).... so nothing could really be lost. 3) Try as I might to comprehend what you are experiencing, the more confused I get. But it is perhaps likely that my workflow, utilization and expectations of the software could be very different from yours. I'll bet there is an answer to your trouble and there is yet help to be found here (if you haven't solved it already and just not come back to tell us)

I'm not on a mac, but I believe with this useful but limited software, the 'cut and shut' is the only way to get your job done.

Are you referring specifically to NCH products? Because the statement is certainly incorrect.

Three questions to see if I could help: Do you have a paid master's edition? Are you working on a mac or pc? What type of file(s) are you working with? (wav/mp3.....)

I again regret starting this thread. I do not believe there is any 'false advertising' happening! I use WavePad regularly and find it to be an excellent resource. I have purchased it for all my computers, and upgraded whenever I've upgraded my system.

Hi Laura, as the somewhat apologetic op of this thread I would think your issue might be better approached in its' own post, and hopefully you will achieve some clarity as to best address it.

If you retained your registration and activation code (emailed) which you used to activate the software after purchasing, there should be no issue reinstalling. For future reference, VideoPad has its' own forum, further down the forum list under Video Tools.

I believe you must be referring to VideoPad, and not WavePad (this forum)? I have never used VideoPad, but in my experience with other video software, the audio and video are linked together, so if you want to do a delete, you must first ungroup/unlink them, and perform the cut on both files in the timeline..... sorry I couldn't help more. While I am a bit unclear in my understanding of what you are saying, my recommendation would be as follows to see if you get a better result.... Instead of using an 'Export' function, choose 'Save File As' ... To delete a portion, pinpoint the cursor on the spot where you wish to begin your delete, and drag to the end of the selection you wish to delete. Once a selection is made you can zoom in and use the I< and >I transport buttons to adjust/verify that the beginning and end points are where you want them. Then 'delete' the selection. It's good practice to use 'Save File As' so you keep the original file intact. ps. just curious, are you working with a wav file or an mp3? edit to add: This turns out to be a VideoPad topic - my responses were aimed at WavePad....

I can't help, except with translation to English Who can help me. I tried to integrate my Carbon 49 midi keybord into Mixpad for a week. Whatever I try, I do not get to see any keystrokes or hear sound. Changing the Carbon 49 with "options" on a song with "recording with MIDI device" makes no sense, nor does it work with "MIDI playback options" Who can help me?

When I purchased my software I also got the printed manual and a backup cd. I don't see a link to a pdf file, but this link may help: https://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/support.html I think our approaches are slightly different when opening files; I usually select and drag files onto the workspace, as opposed to using the 'Open File' option. A simple way to do it is via the Window dropdown menu which offers options for arranging the tiles. Does your version not show these? I use version 5.1 on windows 7, and 6.33 on windows 10. "Adjusting windows manually also does not work. I can only see 1 opened file at the same time in the window. I know it's possible, somehow I don't know the right sequence or actions." If you can only see one file, it is because its' window size is maximized; click on the maximize icon (next to the red x close icon) on the top right of the file window (not the program window) to make it smaller - then you can adjust its' size by dragging the sides or corners, and its' postion by dragging the top banner of the file.

I manually resize and re position each window to a size and placement that makes each visible without overlapping another. Maximizing the work-space on the desktop may help.

I can't recall noticing this issue before myself, not that I rip many cds these days. I'm going to do some experimenting. But, just saying, metadata is pretty easy to alter..... edit to add: ok, I just ripped a cd which has apostrophe's in a couple of song titles and they came out fine. Not sure why you are having an issue. I am using an older, purchased version of ExpressRip on a windows 7 machine. (version 1.81)
