  1. Using WavePad the noise reduction features does an excellent job of removing background hiss (possibly caused by my inexpenseive microphone) from audio files created by recording my voice or while playing my banjo. Is there any way to remove background hiss DURING recording, rather than having to use WavePad to remove the his from the recorded file after the fact?

    Hi,

Try to reuse Mic Volume in Audio Settings. Also If you have "+20db" amplifying, you should disable it in Mic settings.

To reduce hiss, use high-pass filter(effect)

  2. I am also a new user and have the same problem with high resolution images of 4288 x 2580 pixels approx at both 800 x 600 approx and at 1024 x 768 screen resolution whch is what my monitor is set at. ALso having "BUILT" at the higher bit rates.

As you appear to have no response to your message it seems that no one is interested. I have concluded that this software is now redundant and I have removed it from my computer and installed Microsoft Photo Story 3 for Windows. This is fine until you want to make a CD or DVD and that just does not seem possible, but I am still working on it. It means perhaps having to spend about US$20 to buy a plug in from MS to do this. Photo Story is much more user friendly that PhotoStage, but somehow I feel that I would prefer PhpotpSrtage, BUT NOT WITH THE PIXELLATING!!!

    Al the best!!

Works excellent for me! No pixellising here when building slideshow.

You can see pixellising only at Preview time. We use this to render effects in Real-Time.

  3. I just downloaded express scribe and purchased the foot petal. I have been messing around and can get it to work (play) but once the file starts playing I am unable to type!!! It seems to freeze up and just keeps playing. Will not allow me to type in a windows document or the scribe program.

Another question, I have always used external machines for transcribing. With them when you press the foot petal it plays/rewinds/fast forwards. With express scribe does it just start playing and play until you completely stop it?

Sorry to sound so daft but this is my first attempt to use these products.

    thank you

Vec USB foot pedal works fine for me.

    Which one you using?

Aslo tell me do you running other foot-pedal software, eg Pedable or ExpressDictate when you found this problem?
