  1. The problem is that the major video formats don't support transparency. We could probably add a feature to support export as a PNG image sequence with transparent background, will that work for you?
  2. It's probably related to a bug in Videopad. It has been fixed but we haven't released an update yet. We're working on a major update at the moment. Beta version will appear on NCH website by the end of this week.
  3. We have fixed this bug but haven't released an update yet. We plan to release it at the end of the month.
  4. Do you use any subtitles? What happens if you disable them? You can also try to use "Computer/Data" category in the "Video Output Setup" dialog. Select "YouTube" preset. Click "Encoder Options...". Set "Average bitrate" to 1024, "Maximum bitrate" to 2048. Click OK. Find your movie in the destination folder and upload it manually if it's OK.
  5. Please check if you have any scheduled tasks ("Schedule" button on the toolbar). Try to remove all of them. Try to remove HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NCH Software\Debut\Settings\MaxTimeMilliSeconds and HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NCH Software\Debut\Settings\MaxTime keys from registry if you have them. If above doesn't help try to enable "Limit maximum recording time" and set it to 3:00:00
  6. Which version of Videopad do you use? We had similar problem in 2.11 but it had been fixed in 2.12. Please try to update to Videopad 2.12
  7. This is a performance issue. Please give us some details about your system and video file you try to edit in Videopad: - CPU (Processor) frequency and model; - Resolution of your video file (use MediaInfo tool if required); Also make sure you always connect your netbook to a power source when using Videopad. Netbook often decreases CPU performance when running on battery.
  8. What format do you try to convert your video to?
  9. You can try the latest version of Prism (1.25). If it still doesn't work you can try to install ffdshow codec: http://www.free-codecs.com/FFDshow_download.htm Make sure you have "Use FFMPEG first" option disabled in Prism. This option can be found in Options->Conversions tab. Try to convert again.
  10. You can try to change the compressor for mpg (Encoder options). Try to experiment by setting it to MPEG1/MPEG2 and you can also try different bitrates. I suggest that higher bitrates (around 8000 average) might work. You can also try the new version of Prism (1.25). We released it a few days ago. It includes updated compressor. Hopefully this will fix the issue.
  11. Can you please try to enable "Use FFMPEG first" option (Options->Conversions tab) and try to convert your problematic files again?
  12. Thank you for all your suggestions! We'll try to implement most of them in the next major release of Videopad.
  13. What OS do you use? If it's Vista try to update your video card driver and you can also try to disable Aero desktop theme if you have it enabled.
  14. Thank you for your interest in Videopad! We worked hard to get the first version out and we're glad you like it. Unfortunately we experience some problems with DVD authoring at the moment and we're trying to fix them. Hopefully we'll have the updated version of Videopad out soon. Do you have any suggestions on general functionality? What features would you like to see in future releases?
  15. To download videos from youtube you can try to use FlashLynx http://www.nchsoftware.com/streamvcr/index.html
  16. Thank you for your interest in our software. We're trying to fix the "audio out of sync" issue and we need your help. Can you please try the latest BETA version of Debut which is attached to this post? TrashCorder also mentioned that camera stops for 3 minutes between files. We can't reproduce this problem. You can help us by answering these questions: 1) Do you use any Transmit Methods (Options->Transmit tab) for your recordings? 2) Do you have the same problem if you capture to other formats except .wmv and .asf? Can you please try to capture to mp4? debut.zip
