  1. I recently downloaded the trial of Golden Records to convert LP's to CD's. When running the Wizard, the recording level seems to either want to be too high or zero. I'm using line in #2 (aux line in located at front of my computer). The slider is as far as can be to the bottom, and the levels still go some into the red zone, indicating too high. If I try to lower the slider, it goes out completely. I'm recording from a phonograph through an amp, and my computer is win xp. Any suggestions how to get better recording input control? I recorded 30 tracks in the MP3 format, at 320 kbits/s, then burned to a CD. The resulting sound quality is too "tinny". Any suggestions to get better sound quality? Also, since these are for my Dad, I want to be sure they will play back in whatever player he has (which I don't know what he has). I tried in several players, and some don't seem to want to change tracks too well. In particular, my car CD player I have to manually advance the tracks. Any suggestions here? Thanks for advice.
