    Call Transfer

That's not true. I do this with IVM all the time. To Chris Deam... The correct string for blind transfers thru vonage would be !,#90, number, then # not * This will allow transfers to be completed. Markus
  2. Just try doing a backup of the whole folder in which Wavepad resides in (ex. c:\Program Files\NCH Swift Sound\Wavepad). Recurse the directory or folder. Compress the whole folder and copy it to something like a USB Flash drive or something of the sort. Then on the new computer download a fresh copy of the software from the website or if you have the version you installed when you bought the program, use that one. Then uncompress the file you saved and copied to the flash drive onto the new system and then open the software like you normally would on the new system. This should take care of any registration issues you have.
  3. This VoIP use to work for me with IVM (not the transferring of the calls - this part has never worked for me with the VoIP). But, sometime within the past couple of months, the VoIP stopped completely with the IVM program. So, I'm at a complete loss with it. It totally sucks! I wonder if it was when I did the upgrade to the 3.07 version when this occured. I don't remeber and it's been so long now. I'm wondering if the next version will fix this problem?
  4. Are you sure your device has capabilities for caller ID?
  5. To do a confirmed transfer, you need to use the command !,#91, and then if accepted you need to have the command 1 in the box. When the confirmed transfer is activated, it will call you cell phone (you will see your telephone number that IVM is hooked to and uses to make outbound calls), then ask you to press 1 to accept the call or 2 or any other key to decline. When you press 1, the call is then put through, however, your other line will ring (this is assuming you have call-waiting) and the caller will be on your other line. I have used this setup for months and it really doesn't meet the needs that I require. But, it will have to do for now. If you use the "Blind Transfer" feature, then yes you must put !,#90, then the number is input from your input (such as your cell phone number), then your command must be # after the number (such as your cell phone number) is input. Vonage and IVM

First you need to subscribe to the vonage softphone service. Then this will give you an account with a user name and password for use with the sip server entry: sphone.vonage.vopr.net (which is the sip server entry that vonage doesn't like to give out). This software (IVM 3.04) to this date still has problems with transferring calls using the VoIP section of their software. If I were you, I wouldn't purchase the software without first confirming that it will actually work in future versions. Markus 408-907-4152 I not someone you can call for all your questions with Vonage vs. IVM, however I have had some experiences with it myself, and may be able to assist in some way.
  7. Possibly you don't have an OGM greeting message recorded or maybe it is searching for the wrong message file?

    Outbound sip calls

You have to use Vonage's domain information. Which I don't know why they don't make this public. Vonage isn't too fond about giving this information out either. But, you have to use "sphone.vopr.vonage.net" as the server name. The password is the password you get when you sign up with the Softphone program and service. This is a password that is in all CAPS and looks something like this "PTXHMXH92V". I changed a bunch of the letters and numbers from what mine is, but you get the idea. You can just go to your Vonage account online and go to your features tab, then go to manage softphone accounts...then push whatever comes up on the screen next to deal with that account and your password will be up on the next screen. That is the password you want to use to setup your VoIP section in IVM. Also, you must make certain that you put the whole phone number including the 1 for your whole sip id info. Hope this helps! Outbound sip calls

I have Vonage and Softphone and cannot make outbound calls neither. I just hear the ringing.wav sound from IVM's system prompts folder and then the call just sits there. Then when I hang up...the display in IVM reads...SIP call Answering... but that is because it is detecting the 1/2 second ring that Vonage gives you when you have a call on the line, but did not make a complete or correct attempt to transfer, forward or 3-way a telephone call. I don't know what the situation is, but I cannot get it to work. Any help would be nice, not sure if I'll find it here though.
  10. Tried that site...doesn't work. I also tried to add an extra "o" after the first to make www.foodorenvironmental.com to no success. I might have something to comment on this post. If you want to contact me on the telephone, you may do so by calling (408) 907-4152. My e-mail address is markus@communicationsbreakdown.ws. (Communications Breakdown) My name is Markus. I own a telecommunications company. I won't be able to answer all questions regarding issues with this software, but I have had a few experiences of my own. I also own 2 CallURL cards running IVM software. Call anytime. If there is no answer, leave a message with a phone number and I will get back to you as soon as I am able.
  11. As far as I know, you have to upgrade to the newest version in order to have prompts in different languages in addition to the english prompts. If you are just using non-english prompts, just change the sound file to the Portuguese language. Go into your "settings > prompts > change" and then select the synthesize feature, select the voice you want to use for TTS and then save the file. After that finishes, I would then select the same file from that prompts menu and while highlighting the file working with, click "change" then "edit recording" and allow Wavepad to open/download and install, then once the file is open, I would select the very end of the sound file...just where you see the end of the graph of the voice and drag it to the end of the file...then delete that last little part. I've find that if it's a number file that I'm editing, the numbers are read back to the caller allot faster than if you don't edit. IVM's default system prompts are so cheesy, I would've thought that would be the first thing everybody would do. I did. Markus markus@comm-breakdown.com Communications Breakdown
  12. Forget to include the other lines numbers for reviewing IVM and the way it asnwers and responds to calls. Line 1: 408 625-7634 Line 2: 425 609-8162
  13. I don't think your question is clear enough for me to understand. I think I might understand your idea, but the question needs to be clearer. Maybe if you could repost in another post something different please. Markus markus@comm-breakdown.com Communications Breakdown
  14. I'm guessing it has to do with the echoing the touch-tones from the broadband connection. I'm experiencing something like this with my Vonage phone service. But, it's usually only when there is alot of bandwidth being used at the tones the touch-tones are coming through. So, I guess the settings in the "General" section specifying the "Tone High Pass Filter" might need to be adjusted or it might even be under the "Devices - Advanced Line Settings - Line Settings - Call Detection Timing - DTMF Tone Delay Detect" might need to be adjusted. I think that might help or solve your problem. However, this has not been tested by myself with the VoIP features in the new IVM 3.01. I uninstalled it once it expired because, as a registered paid user/customer of 2.43 version, they still wanted you to purchase the software again. I have already purchased this software, so they wanted to give me a discount...well, the discount price is practically the same price I paid for the software the first time. So, it's a rip off and frankly, the new version really isn't something to brag about. Couldn't get a few things working the way I had wanted them and it even appeared that I wasn't being able to detect busy, answer, hang-up, etc... when the drivers for my CallURL card are the same, but somehow, the software itself was changing things as well. So, I uninstalled. Markus markus@comm-breakdown.com Communications Breakdown Oh, and you are more than welcome to call my system and play around with it...try to trip up the system if you can. My company line is answered by IVM and will doesn't get answered by a live person. The number is (408) 850-0144. Just FYI, the system is connected to Vonage phone service, with SBC being the main provider for the DSL and Vonage active on the DSL line. I have 5 lines thru Vonage with the SBC DSL Pro (up to 3.0 mbps, supposedly). You may also call the other incoming lines (which are also answered by IVM) that I have active for associates and outside field reps which use the system to make national phone calls, being this is free from the Vonage phone service. My field reps and associates are able to call into the system that I've created using IVM and IVM will transfer them to any number of their choice (because transferring calls is also part of the Vonage phone service).
  15. I would like to suggest more control over the mailboxes feature and the way IVM handles calls and giving the callers a different setup for when they leave a message, etc... The mailbox setup is so easy and simple. It would be nice to have more access control. Maybe if the mailboxes had mailbox numbers, that are associated with a person name or dept. and a separate password that was assigned to each mailbox and the option for the caller to change their own password within the mailbox. Also, if the option for the caller to be able to input a pager number in for message notification for the caller would be nice as well. Another feature that I thought would be nice, would be to totally allow us (the programmer of the system/system administrator), the ability to choose which telephone buttons would allow for the message to be saved, deleted, sent, disconnect, re-record, etc... This would be very nice. Go to the top of the page +
