  1. Thanks for the reply, I had e-mailed synway tech support and they had me change my tone parameters. I reside in the US and I made the following changes: ShConfig.ini” to detect dial tone: set “TonePara=350,80,435,80, 50 the original setting was 450,80,0,0,50 Hope this helps out anyone in the states who may be experiencing the same issue. They just e-mailed me a few minutes ago, I changed it and it is now working fine!
  2. I resolved it by installing on an XP system and it works fine now.
  3. I was having so many issues trying to install on a Vista system, that I finally gave up and installed on XP. I've gotten further with XP , but now I am getting this: 11:37:04 Making outbound call on line CAHTA 1 11:37:08 Call attempt failed - cannot get a dialtone on the line 11:37:08 Outbound call not answered 11:37:08 Call disconnected I do have a dial tone and I'm using a synway sht/2usb telephony module. I was reading somewhere that there is a ini file that can be installed to fix the issue I am now having. Does anyone know where I can get a download from or of any other possible fixes? Thanks.
  4. I will be using the IVM system primarily to make outgoing calls to a client list. I am using a Vista system with a Zoom 3030 modem. I am testing the system by having it dial my cell phone. The IVM can dial out, but if I don't pick up it does not go to voice mail and doesn't leave a message. If I do pick up I only hear silence and after 30sec (the length of my test message) it cuts off as normal. Other info/settings: Settings-Audio Tab Play device - Modem#1 Call announce and call screen - default Settings for Outbound Autodial Calls Call Answer Detect Settings Ringing silence detect time (ms) 4100 Voice silence detect time (ms) 4000 Ringing or busy time out 25 sec Answer detect fail time out 25 sec Assume answering machine if longer than 8sec I did change the voice silence setting from its default value. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
  5. Ed, I'm having that same issue, trying to look for a solution. I have a Zoom 3030 and IVM dials out, but it doesn't leave a message on my voicemail and if I answer the phone I get silence. I do hear a beep prior to IVM hanging up. Did you resolve that issue?
  6. I have been tasked with setting up a service that will allow a user to record a message and then fan it out to subscribers who have registered with their cell/home phones. (Am I correct in assuming IVM can do this, call numbers in a database and play a pre recorded message?) I have discovered IVM and have downloaded the trial version but I recently discovered that I need a voice modem. I am very flexible and can start from scratch, that being said what is a good voice modem to purchase that I can quickly install. I've seen the reference page, but I was wanting some personal experiences for modems. Job was thrown at me last minute and I'm under a time crunch, like Scotty from Star Trek. Thanks.

    I have been tasked with setting up a service that will allow a user to record a message and then fan it out to subscribers who have registered with their cell/home phones. I have discovered IVM and have downloaded the trial version but I recently discovered that I need a voice modem. I am very flexible and can start from scratch, that being said what is a good voice modem to purchase that I can quickly install. Job was thrown at me last minute and I'm under a time crunch, kindda like a Scotty from Star Trek. Thanks.
