One of my clients uses Express Dictate to send me an average of five files a day. She has been sending me files for several years. In the last couple of months I've gotten maybe half a dozen files that give me the following error message when I try to upload the file into Express Scribe: "Unable to load dct file because of file corruption (length error). Please ask the dictator to send it again." In every case when the dictator recovers the file in her Express Dictate, she can hear the dictation. In a couple of cases, resending the file has allowed me to upload it. In all the other cases, I have been unable to load the file into Express Dictate and the dictator has either done the work herself or dictated again on a new file, neither an acceptable option. Any light shed on this problem will be greatly appreciated.
