  1. It's been over two years now since I threw in the towel and gave up on ever trying to make this application work the way it's supposed to work. I purchased a CURL card with two ports, set up IVM per the instructions in the Help files, tested it using the Call Simulator, and even though everything worked just fine during the trial period, the paid version has not. This was such a disappointment because it promised to be such a terrific product. As a one-man business, I have to do everything myself, and this just took up too much time to make it worthwhile. I just had to recover my system to fix a problem in WinXP. For some unknown reason, the Network Connections icons disappeared along with the Network Connection Wizard and I could no longer access the Internet. None of the documentation at Microsoft's website worked, so I did the unthinkable and restored my HP Pavillion to its virgin state. Since I had to reinstall everything else, I thought I'd give IVM another go. What a joke. Instead of answering with any of my OGMs, all of which are recorded in my voice, it answers with a female voice. This is not a simulated voice but one that's clearly recorded. It's quite distorted and "scratchy," but you can make out what she says and it goes something like this: "Warning, the line you're calling [inaudible] and cannot [inaudible] the correct [inaudible]" and then it repeats over and over again. While it repeats, the IVM display screen shows that my default OGM is playing. I've looked everywhere and tried everything I know how to do. If anyone reading this has a fix, please send or post it if you would and I'll try one more time to make this program work. I've read through most of the posts and haven't seen anything like this issue, so I'll be surprised if anyone responds. As I read through the various postings and saw all the dissatisfied customers and the utter lack of concern NCH has demonstrated (not to mention the lack of solutions) I was amazed to see they're still in business. Obviously, someone somewhere has been able to make this product work. If not, then let me offer my congratulation to the owners of NCH for profiting so successfully from so many by selling something that doesn't work and refusing to do anything about it. I wanted to make this work so much that I didn't even complain when I was told I had to buy an entirely new copy at full price when the version I purchased originally had only one OGM. Then, when the upgrade failed and I was told once more that the only choice I had was to pay for another whole copy at full price, I was stupid enough to do it. I guess I've paid about three times now for something that has cost me countless hours of time and which has given me nothing but headaches. I must really be stubborn or terribly dim-witted to try again.
