  1. I am having trouble staying logged into the web wervice. I can log in the first time no problem. When I select any function(extensions, dialplan, ect.) it asks me to log in again. Whne I do it takes me back to the main web page, not the page I am trying to log into. Ver 1.31

  2. Having more than one caller, call in to the attendant breaks up the audio on the line. Been through whole forum for a solution and im at a dead end. My voip number provider gizmo does support GSM codec. cant really seem to figure out whats wrong, anyone have any idea whats wrong? Your help is highly appreciated.

Depends on the bandwidth of your internet access. Each line uses 60 to 80k so if you have 100k of upload speed, 1 call will work fine but the second will break up.

  3. Everything is working. Just the message I have playing on the ogm is informational and changes very often. how do you get the system to automatically reload a wav file message? THX

Use a program that will copy a file from one subdir and rename it to another subdir overwriting the old OGM.

  4. As per the title, it's a T-Mobile MDA Touch phone.

Sorry. Didn't see that the first time. ETalk is designed to work with the Yealink but I will assume it works with others. Did you make sure the audio device is set to USB Phone?

  5. The sound comes through the loudspeaker (Speakerphone) and not the earpiece. Is there anyway to change this, because it is difficult to hear when in a noisy environment?

I assume you are using a Yealink USB Phone? If you are, set the audio device as a USB phone and it should work. Sometimes mine has to sit for a few seconds before the handset kicks in.

  6. Hi all,

I've been having a lot of difficulty with my setup of SPA3102 + Axon 2.0 + VRS 5.11. My calls are dropped very suddenly when I am in the middle of a conversation or leaving a message. I think I have narrowed down the problem to this: when I am talking to someone and they are not saying anything for an extended period (about 30 seconds) or when I am leaving a voicemail message for someone, the call is disconnected. Axon does not return any errors and just says that the call was disconnected. I have checked the forum for similar issues and I haven't been able to find anything that solved my problem. I have tried using the "Disable call activity polling" option, but that hasn't solved the problem. I'm not sure what I need to do and which component of the system is causing this issue. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

    Alex

I had the same problem. Axon would drop the call a 4:10 seconds every time. I stopped using it because they said it was the provider but it does not happen with any other system I use.

  7. using axon 200, ivm 4.11

All calls drop after 5 minutes of talking, every call.

We have a test system and it does the same thing, different type server and at a different location (test lab) but it has axon 1.31 and ivm 405.

    Any clue?

I am having the same problem. 4:15 and the call drops. If I program the ATA directly it works okay. I am using callcentric also but the calls only drop with Axon so I don't think it is CC.

  8. Good day all.

Here is the short of it.

Everything is working fine in IVM answering attendent other than emailing the mailbox holders with the wav file as an attachment.

I've tried smtp, with and without the username:password@.........., Sending using another (read few) accounts. The SMTP itself, SSL, basicly everything.

I would think that the SMTP would be simple enough. Anyone run into this problem ???

    Windows XP

    Outlook/office 2003

    Lotsa Ram/HD Space

I can ping the SMTP host

    Outlooks Email works fine (Pop3)

Passwords verified, and all permutations of the User/Pass tryied

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanx

I have to check the 'server requires authentication' and fill in the name and user info I received from my internet provider. It took me a few tries to get it working.

  9. New it IVM. I have version 4.08. I have the system working. When I receive a call there is a pop-up that announces the Modem, Phone number, and Name. If the user hangs up without leaving a message, there is no record of the caller id in the logs. The "Most Recent Call Line 1" only show:

19:59:06 Ringing on Line USB Modem detected. Waiting until ring number 3.

    19:59:18 Call disconnected

The "Call Log" only show answered calls and does not include any unanswered calls.

    19:14:04 IVM Answering Attendant Run

    19:17:36 USB Modem 1234567890 [Answered]

    19:24:35 USB Modem 1234567890 [Answered]

Is there something else I need to do to record the caller id preferably in the "Call Log"?

    John W.

That is something that I have been complaining about for a year now. Why don't they show the CID of un-answred calls in the log. I have never received an answer so I can only say that that's the way it is.

  10. The VoIP provider we're using does not require any kind of authentication, no user name or password, etc. How do I configure Axon to use it? If I leave the account ID or password blank, Axon's web GUI refuses to let me go past that.

My provider is IPcommunications, it's their free DID account.

I can't believe they require no info from you. So anyone can just plug your number into thier softphone and use it?

  11. You should be able to add the CAHTA board as a telephony device in IVM and then have control over the incoming lines and their OGM destination. I don't know much about the telephony boards, but I know that you should be able to interface the pbx, board and IVM without much problems. What is the exact problem you are facing, is the card not even detected by IVM when you try to add it as a telephony device?

I'm not sure as I don't use Axon yet (which I assume is the PBX you are using) but I don't think Axon will interface directly to the CAHTA board. The IVM will.

  12. You're right, this forum sucks...and it suck that NCH hasn't ported Express Talk to run natively on Linux. Linux is the fastest growing operating system and it's only a matter of time before its users outnumber Max OS users, but it's not true that there aren't any people running this software on Linux. I have loaded and run the software on Ubuntu Linux and it runs using WINE but I have the same audio problem that this user has... no inbound sound. I can make and receive calls and the other end can hear me but I can't hear them. The problem seems to be in the audio settings configuration in Express Talk. Incidentally, I have a similar problem running it on Windows XP... the audio settings don't "stick" so I have to reconfigure the audio input and output devices each time I run the program... very poor programming! Anyway, on Linux I don't even have a choice over the output audio device... it only shows "default sound out" in the drop down. My audio works fine using Skype on Linux and other audio programs running under WINE so I don't think it's WINE... again the suspicion goes to the NCH software. If anyone can help me with either of these problems, WINE or Windows XP, I would be very grateful. Because of these problems I have ordered a VoIP router from iPhonex to get around this problem, but if I experience any technical problems with the router then I'll be switching to Vonage where as least I know the technology works very well and the support is good, and at the same price as iPhonex without having to pay extra for support!

I get really tired of people saying this forum sucks. IT IS A USER FORUM! If no one else has had this problem than you may not get a response. Maybe running the software on a platform is was not designed to run on could be the problem. And then YOU are having the same problem and you don't chime in to ask what he has tried and compare notes, but the forum sucks. When I have user questions, the forum works well but may take time. When I have a support issue, I have paid for support and expect them to help me. Maybe it's not the forum that sucks but what you expect of it.

  13. Very strange....Service unavailable sounds like something is not registered....

When I call the IVM, it announces the caller (caller-id announce feature) before answering the call... however, I'm unable to hear the announcement via Express Talk... I can hear it through the external speakers on the IVM machine.

In the Audio tab of the IVM settings, my Play Device and Volume & Call Announce abd Call Screen Device Volume both say "Default Sound Out" The other options that are available are ( a ) my actual sound card ( b ) my 4 dialogic analog lines.

This is getting really frustrating as I have to hook this to a VOIP system in 2 weeks! NCH support has not been any help even though I have paid for it....

If you are waiting for NCH support to 'junp in' I doubt they will. This is a user forum. If you have paid for support, leave them a message on the support page at their web site. They do not provide support in the forum.

  14. With the current version of IVM Voicemail software, is it possible to assign different OGMs to differnt analog lines on a telephony board?

Our company has two seperate divisions, but shares the same phone system. For example, I would like calls answered on lines 1-4 to answer with OGM1 and lines 4-8 to answer with OGM2. I would be using an 8-line CAHTA PCI board.

I don't currently have a telephony board, so I'm not sure how to add lines to the IVM demo software to properly test this.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks.

Yes, you can have each line with it's own OGM or assign any line to any OGM.

  15. Thanks python,

Yeah - I've seen sound issues from RDP before. I've kinda put the theory on the back seat a bit because of the way it is working correctly over VoIP. I suppose I should mention the server has no audio devices. I am certainly not getting any audio (from IVM simulations, WMP, Anything) via RDP - even though it just uses some strange emulation driver.

I'll look into TightVNC, but I'm quite fussy about consistency so I keep my third-party apps to a bare minimum :D

Afraid I can't get to it physically though, its about 100 miles away locked up in a data center :P EDIT : You've given me an idea though, because the server does have remote control hardware which just feeds the VGA signal over the network, which is as good as being there (no RDP or any software, pure hardware implimentation)

The only other thing I thought of was: Do you have MP3s or wavs as your message? I have found some wavs don't work right and don't play audio. Since you don't have a soundcard you could not tell that. Convert to MP3 and try if they are wavs.

  16. Hi, I've been using this great piece of software on my laptop now for about two years and thought it might be time to get the latest version.

Somehow I seem to have downloaded the Business version by mistake and it's telling me my trial period has ended. I only use this on my laptop to keep in touch with family whilst I'm travelling so i don't really need the full blown version.

I deleted the Business Version and then downloaded the free version again (to make sure) and I'm still getting warning about needing to pay for the licence.

Can anyone tell me how to get back to the free version please..?

    Regards.. Glenn

I did the same thing. It appears they have the wrong download in the free area. Hopefuly they will see these posts and correct the problem and let us know. Yathink?

  17. Thank you for the response, I really appreciate the help

It was the one on the recomended list, zoom 3025cf i've looked for drivers but they are the same as what ive got. Is it to do with the sound side of the modem?

I really dont know, the only thing that works is the caller ID function. Thats it!

    Cheers

Does it work okay when you run the simulation? Does the audio come thru then?

    Don

  18. I am trialing IVM 4.05 I've bought the zoom Model 3025, when It receives a call it answers the call then does nothing. I have set up an OGM. When IVM answers the call the modem clicks a few times and thats it.

Any adivce would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

Is this modem TAPI compliant? If so, look for updated drivers for modem and try again.

  19. Is it possible to make Express Talk NOT send registration requests to a provider ? Basically, I want to use a line for outbound only and don't want to register Express Talk with the provider.

Just leave it closed until you want to use it. Then open it. It will register and you can make calls. When you are done, exit and turn off background operation.

  20. Purchased software, tried to enter code in Leopard interface, there is no place to enter a code - just a blank panel with no place to enter a code. My wife accidentally deleted my receipt email so I tried to go to their site for support and the only way i can even contact them is to pay for a support ticket. So i have paid for the software, can't register it so now it has expired, and have to pay them to have the privilege of them helping me fix their Leopard issues.

If you guys read this forum, i suggest you contact me immediately and not charge me for it. Major scam.

I'm sorry. Did they delete the file or did you? There are ways to contact them and they will help you activate it.
