  1. Have you found the answer to this yet. I am trying to do the same thing but with no luck. Roger
  2. Here is my problem... I use my phone for customer support. It is a vonage phone and works great. The problem is that I also use my pc to talk to support individuals. Trying to balance the vonage phone and a headset is more than I can handle at one time. I am trying to use the same head set to talk on vonage and the pc (not at the same time) but a call on one may come in right after the call on the other so I have to change head sets. I would really like to use the same head set for both and not have to switch. The PC head set is the best so it is the one I would like to use. I though if there was some way to answer and make calls through my vonage phone line using my pc headset it would work great. Know me I am trying to do this as cheap (free) as possible. Thanks Roger
  3. I would just like to make plain calls, not viop calls, using my land line from my PC. Is there a software program that will run on the PC and somehow connect to the regular phone line maybe using a modem? Thanks for you help and suggestions Roger
  4. I have fixed the problem and am responding in case anyone else has the same problem. I un-installed ES. Then cleaned the registar. Then re-installed ES.
  5. I have used Express Scribe in the past and have wired my own foot pedal. I recently downloaded and installed version 4.16 and now my foot pedal will not work. If I press the foot pedal it will stop the transcription and make the voice stutter but no stop and start like it use to. When I go to settings and select pedals and hot keys, then select Com1 with 2 pedals. I then press foot pedal control setup wizard and get the message unable to open the com port. I go to DOS and use the AT commands, while Express Scribe is running, it says access denied and it will not allow me to do any controlling of the com1 port with the AT commands which I think means that Express Scribe has control of the port. If I close Express scribe and use the same AT commands the commands work. (echo ATZ>COM1) Any help would be appreciated. Roger
