  1. I am having the same problem. When a CD is ripped to mp3 the file will not play in Windows Media Player V9 or V10 with the latest updates. It comes up with this message: "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The file is either corrupt or the Player does not support the format you are trying to play." However the file plays fine in Real Player. I have tried various different settings but they are all the same. If ripped to wma then converted it plays fine. Any thoughts?
