  1. AXONites, I finally figured out that I need a VPN to bypass my firewall issues. So I have my client registered and I can make calls via the AXON pbx, but the calls (both ext to ext and ext to outbound line) cut off after 8 seconds and my client isn't even notified that the call has been disconnected. I can make outbound calls of any length when I am calling from the desktop of the AXON server. If i call from my desktop to the AXON server to the auto attendant, i can see that the attendant is playing the OGM, but I only hear a fraction of a second before the call cuts off. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, CylonRaider
  2. Another observation.... I have been watching the Axon GUI. I have noticed that my extension 102 and 110 (the two that I setup on my desktop) are trying to connect every 6 seconds on very wide of port numbers. What does this behavior mean? I am still guessing my NAT isn't allowing the return of the packets back to TE to tell it that it's registered. I did add a lot of port ranges to my routers Special Application table. What else should I try? Here are some samples: 11:51:08 Extension 102 is at: sip:102@65.5.196.166:20533 11:51:15 Extension 110 is at: sip:110@65.5.196.166:20539 11:51:22 Extension 110 is at: sip:110@65.5.196.166:20545 11:51:29 Extension 110 is at: sip:110@65.5.196.166:20547 11:56:08 Extension 102 is at: sip:102@65.5.196.166:20735 11:56:15 Extension 102 is at: sip:102@65.5.196.166:20742 11:56:22 Extension 102 is at: sip:102@65.5.196.166:20748 11:56:29 Extension 110 is at: sip:110@65.5.196.166:20759 11:56:29 Extension 102 is at: sip:102@65.5.196.166:20759 11:56:36 Extension 110 is at: sip:110@65.5.196.166:20769 11:56:36 Extension 102 is at: sip:102@65.5.196.166:20769 11:56:43 Extension 110 is at: sip:110@65.5.196.166:20772 11:56:43 Extension 102 is at: sip:102@65.5.196.166:20772 11:56:50 Extension 110 is at: sip:110@65.5.196.166:20777 11:56:50 Extension 102 is at: sip:102@65.5.196.166:20777 11:56:57 Extension 110 is at: sip:110@65.5.196.166:20780 11:57:04 Extension 110 is at: sip:110@65.5.196.166:20788 11:57:11 Extension 110 is at: sip:110@65.5.196.166:20794 12:01:50 Extension 102 is at: sip:102@65.5.196.166:20999 12:01:57 Extension 102 is at: sip:102@65.5.196.166:21001 12:02:04 Extension 102 is at: sip:102@65.5.196.166:21002 12:02:11 Extension 110 is at: sip:110@65.5.196.166:21010 12:02:11 Extension 102 is at: sip:102@65.5.196.166:21010 12:02:18 Extension 110 is at: sip:110@65.5.196.166:21017 22:26:47 Extension 110 is at: sip:110@65.5.196.166:41904 22:26:47 Extension 102 is at: sip:102@65.5.196.166:41904 22:26:54 Extension 110 is at: sip:110@65.5.196.166:41910 22:26:54 Extension 102 is at: sip:102@65.5.196.166:41910 22:27:01 Extension 110 is at: sip:110@65.5.196.166:41917 22:27:01 Extension 102 is at: sip:102@65.5.196.166:41917 22:27:08 Extension 110 is at: sip:110@65.5.196.166:41921 22:27:08 Extension 102 is at: sip:102@65.5.196.166:41921 22:27:15 Extension 110 is at: sip:110@65.5.196.166:41938 22:27:15 Extension 102 is at: sip:102@65.5.196.166:41938 22:27:22 Extension 110 is at: sip:110@65.5.196.166:41954 22:27:22 Extension 102 is at: sip:102@65.5.196.166:41954 22:27:29 Extension 110 is at: sip:110@65.5.196.166:41960 22:27:29 Extension 102 is at: sip:102@65.5.196.166:41960
  3. I am new to the DIY VOIP system. I have been using Packet8 for many years. I haven't had to do anything special to make my Packet8 DTA function. I just plug it in and it connects to their servers and I have a dialton. But, I am not really happy with several factors, costs and features to name a few. So I started looking for various vPBX systems and I am really impressed with the simplicty of the AXON server. I know there are others out there that may be more complex and expensive, but I am looking for simple and cheap at this point. I have a colocated server in a datacenter. I am running Win2003. I installed AXON and connected a callcentric account to the outbound lines. I setup a few extensions and I can log into those extensions with Express Talk from the server's desktop (via Remote Desktop). I am now trying to get the clients to connect from remote locations to the AXON server. On my local router/firewall, if I open port 5060 and point it directly to my workstation, I am able to get Express Talk to connect just fine. But the other computers in my network can't connect to AXON remotely. If I turn off the 5060 port forward, I can't connect to AXON. The confusing thing to me is that I can connect to my Callcentric account just fine regardless of whether 5060 is forwarded or not. So my question is.. what is callcentric doing that I am not? I turned off my firewall on my AXON server so that I could rule out the firewall. I don't believe my datacenter is blocking any ports besides some SQL ports for security. Other bits of info that might be helpful: 1)I have UPnP on my router. It is enabled. 2)ET says i have a symmetric NAT and that it can't use uPnP 3)ET says it can't connect to the default STUN servers. stun.fwdnet.net and stun.xten.com 3)I have tried entering in my network's pulic IP and set port to 5060 and 8000 I feel that I am either just totally missing some aspect of this or my local router just won't accomodate this without some changes. Thanks in advance to anyone who can shed some light on my issues. CylonRaider
