  1. Hello, Ok with regards to caller display... is your callurl board connected directly to the public telephone network or does it go through a pbx? have you tried another phone on the line that supports caller id to check it's working? Do you know what type of caller display your telephone company uses? if you don't where abouts in the world are you and who is your service provider? - might be able to make an educated guess! Diag32 is a seperate program, you can only have one program accessing your board at any given time. Make sure you have closed IVM down completely (including from system tray) and then try again... Cheers Adz
  2. Hi Maurizo, This is possible. Have a look at the information surrounding plugins on the site, when you've done that pop back if you need more help... I'm sure someone (if not myself) would be able to point you in the right direction Cheers Adam
  3. Hi, How many lines do you have on your IVM? I can't think of any proper way of doing this through IVM - but there may be a crude way if you only have one line. What information would you need to be passed? just the level of support or would you need more data? Cheers Adam
  4. Hello, It's not going to be possible to transfer the call to the local modem extension by making it ring. (you would need a pbx to do this) What you could do... Create another OGM - call this localtransfer (or whatever you want) Record a 30 second OGM ('Please hold whilst we try to connnect you to an operator') or you could have a ringing tone (make sure this lasts about 30 seconds to give you enough time to get to the phone) On the ADVANCED tab of the OGM set a short (5/10 second) audio file to play using the 'Announce Call through speakers by playing mp3/wav' option. (you don't want this to be longer as it doesn't stop when the 'IVM' clears down) On the KEY RESPONSE tab of the OGM set the type to 'Menu - single key press' then set the '#' button to 'hang up immeadiate' On the MESSAGE tab of the OGM set the 'wait' field to 0... 'repeat' field to 0 and 'then' field - to the option you want if you do not answer the phone. ...... How it works... Point option '2' to speak to an agent to your new OGM (created above) Your computer will play an audio file locally to tell you there is a caller who wants to speak to you The IVM will play a please hold message to your caller. If you do not answer the call the caller will pass to the option you specified when the please hold message has ended (remember you made this message 30 seconds long to give you enough time to get there) IF YOU ANSWER THE CALL - if you are lucky the ivm will disconnect automatically, otherwise you use your '#' button on your phone to clear the please hold message by instructing the IVM to hang up. I hope this makes sense Feel free to ask for clarification Cheers Adam ps I'm not sure how you contact 'gold support' sorry

    Talking to the user

If you x'frd the call to a normal number (ie non voip) you would have to pay for the call charges at your voip network operators rates. Alternatively, you would need to purchase a VOIP terminal (a phone with a network port as opposed to a standard line plug - this would connect to your network) or a VOIP terminal adaptor - small versions look like a dsl router and normally have a net through port and two phone connectors (for normal phones), or install a softphone on a computer - NCH do one! Whatever solution you choose - you would need a voip account for it, with this you would be assigned an extension number... IVM would have to transfer the call to the voip extension number - calls between voip extensions are usually free (especially if they are supplied by the same SP) Hope this helps Adam

    Call Queue

Hi, I don't think this is possible in the IVM system. Have you considered using http://www.asterisk.org/ - an open source pbx? You could have the ivm filtering your calls and then xfer them to your call queue on asterisk? You could bounce between the two systems and come up with a very powerful solution! Hope this helps - or at least gives you an idea Adz
  7. 1. Go into the settings menu from the main screen (the word 'settings' or the hammer/screwdriver icon) 2. Select the 'Transfer/Record' tab 3. At the bottom you should see a section titled 'Recording Messages' 4. Adjust the value in the 'Maximum Record Time' as required Cheers Adz
  8. Whats the spec of your pc? processor/memory/operating system Do you have any other programs/services running in the background? What type of modem do you have? are the drivers capable of supporting more than one modem per computer?
  9. Hi, As far as I am aware - you will not be able to do this directly from IVM. You would need to write your own pluggin to get the information from the database and trigger a print event... To ensure the pluggin returns before your OGM finishes it would potentially be worth writing two exes. The first to query the database and find the callers information. (this would finish quickly and return to the ivm. The second to print the information. (this would be called by the first exe but execute outside the constraints of ogm duration, data could be passed as command line - or just the record number so the second exe can find it.) You could do this as one exe but i've experienced problems with programs hanging due to printer spooling in the past. Drop me a private message if you get stuck or need a hand. Adam
  10. Sounds like you've got one line with call waiting? (do-do-do) being the call waiting beep? To use the ivm you'd need to get another line installed and then have a 'network divert on busy' service on your first line to pass all calls from busy line1 to line2 where your ivm would be waiting. - if you don't want the expense of second line and have broadband - consider voip! it's not as difficult as people try to make out!
  11. I've had the same problem with sipgate Try gradwell.co.uk They have some decent solutions - including a well priced centrex option. DTMF works fine with them. Looking at the logs with sipgate... it would appear that it is indeed sipgate that has the problem with the dtmf tones. If you call from a normal phone and then hang up - the ivm usually picks it up straight away. If you call from a normal phone through a sipgate connection and use dtmf signalling the ivm doesn't realise that the call has been disconnected for some time! Dont' think this one is nch's fault! probably worth checking you have got the % marks either side of the variable name. does voice synthesis work in other areas of your ivr?
  13. Hi Daniel, To transfer calls in the uk (I'm not sure if its the same where you are) you need either a centrex telephone line or pbx (telephone system), normal lines can't transfer calls. If I were to setup the same system that you have and perform the same action I too would have the problem of the line cutting off after pressing 1 to accept the transfer. Our lines over here give the impression that you can transfer calls (ie you can put a call on hold and make another) but that is to support the public three way calling function. It's possible it's the same where you are... just a thought good luck Adz
  14. Hi Sangbin. This is easily do-able... What you need to do is make use of the variable %linenumber% or %linename% Option1 When you add a device (voip or physical) you have to give them a name, you can find it in settings... e.g. line one is called "Yellow Pages" line two is called "Local Paper" You will have to name your two mail boxes exactly the same as each of the lines e.g. mailbox one is now called "Yellow Pages" mailbox two is called "Local Paper" In the ogm or menu item that fires the caller towards the voicemail boxes you need to set the name of the mailbox to %linename%. (this is a system variable) .... how it works. Caller dials in and ivm recognises which line the caller is on. Caller goes through all of your messages until it is time to record something from them. We have an ogm or a menu option pointing towards a mailbox. We have told the ivm to point towards %linename% Ivm realises that this is a system variable and rather than looking for a mailbox called %linename% it looks for a mailbox which matches the actual line name. (in the example above - messages from the yellow pages number would go to the yellow pages mailbox and so on" ... Option 2 Call you mailboxes "1" and "2" (no inverted commas though!) Point your 'Leave message for mailbox' mailbox id as %linenumber% If you need a hand drop me a message (let me know how you get on!) Adz
