AUDIO CODEC problem

Can anyone help with this problem

 

It is not possible, you dont have a suitable audio codec installed. I cant seem to play or convert any files as this keeps coming up

you haven't given me enough information - like what file format you were trying to open / convert from

I am trying to convert an .mmm file which is a music maker 10 file. When I load it onto Wavepad it tells me "dont have a suitable audio codec installed". How and where do I install an audio codec to fix this problem.
