File Playing and Reading Problem

I downloaded the free version a few weeks ago, and recently upgraded to the Master's Edition. Before upgrading I started having the problem that when I opened files they would read, and the time would be correct, but there wouldn't be any actual sound played, or in the project window. I assumed that this was because the free version had expired. After setting up the upgrade, I'm still having the same problem and don't understand why.

Never mind, I just figured out that it was trying to play off of my default output device, which isn't my sound card

There is no restriction on playing a file in the free version. So if WavePad can open the file but there is no sound, then remember to check your sound card settings. To do that, use menu File->Settings and select page Audio Processing.

I have recently downloaded this program and I have a similar problem. I try to open up a wma file and it looks as if it is trying to open it up but then, it goes away. The program is still open but i have unsuccessfully opened the file. The sound card specifications are right though.. Thanks!

What version are you using? Download the latest version from our website and try again.

 

File playing problem is usually related to sound card.
