However, implementation is let down by the complexities of choosing the right modem hardware. Does anyone know of any article which lists different hardware options at different price points? If there isn't such an article I would strongly urge the guys at NCH to try to organise writing one as it would surely help their user-base grow quickly and more solidly with hardware which works more reliably too. We are based in the UK and would like to purchase one or two PCI-based cards to run with this software. I've looked at various options from Dialogic etc and the price varies massively - what hardware did NCH originally test their software on - what is their default recommended hardware (for the UK ideally!).
