Eyeline? Informant? A Changelog?

I visited the website and noticed that Informant is now Eyeline?

 

But it is at version 1.0.0. Informant was up to version 1.0.3?

 

What changed (beside the name)? How can you tell what version of the software you're downloading without installing it? (The file name is, and was always, "insetup.exe" with no distinct version specified in the file.

 

Also, the upgrade feature inside each program seems to download an older version of the program!

 

Very confusing, to say the least. Oh, and Eyeline retains none of Informant's settings. I had to reintroduce it to all the cameras...only to find that it mysteriously stops talking to them after various amounts of time.

 

So it's back to Informant I go...good thing I saved all the previous versions by renaming them from plain old "insetup.exe"

EyeLine is a complete rewrite of Informant, which is why we introduced the name change. I have passed the rest of your suggestions on to the developers responsible.
