Importing WMA files

I have an Olympus recorder which generates WMA files which Express Dictate says will import. When I import them I get a request to go to Microsoft and get a flip4Mac plugin and install it. I go to the offered site and download and install the software which then shows up in System Preferences (I have an Intel Mac 10.4.8 OS). All well and good. I reboot the machine to make sure all is being restarted. The next time I go to import it asks again to install the SW. If I say yes but don't actually go through the process I can then click OK in the Dictate window and the file is imported. What do I have to do to avoid the repeated request to install the flip4Mac plugin?
