I have a SPA9000 and i want to use, IMS Telephone On-Hold Player for the "Call Park MOH Server" under SIP Tab.

I have the IMS Telephone On-Hold Player running on a Windows XP Machine with IP 192.168.1.97.

And under SPA9000, Call Park MOH Server, i input 192.168.1.97:606

I have verifed that I have Server Checked on the software and that it is using Port 606, and it also has No Firewall running.

I test the connection between the phones and i have the audio that is built into the phones still playing. By default "Call Park MOH Server" is imusic, for internal music, but when i change it to 192.168.1.97:606 I have same results, just internal music.

Another problem which is annoying, is IMS Telephone On-Hold Player audio playing on the Windows XP Machine. Why cant i find an option to not play the music out of the systems speakers. I only want the music routed over the 606 port to the pbx unit.

I have a few questions.

1. Can you give me a custom quote for $85 professional licenses of the "On Hold" software.

2. Does your in-store announcement software also do internet message updates to an ftp server like the on-hold software? If not, I'm thinking about using the on-hold software for an overhead announcement system because I need to do it for 85 stores. All 85 stores I will not have access to and will need to have a way to update the messages. All of them are behind firewalls, so I was thinking of using the on-hold software to check into an ftp server for updates.

Two last questions:

1.Can I do this with the on-hold player.

2. I'm trying to import files into the on-hold player (mp3 and wav) and they don't seem to import. Do they have to be a specific quality? I'm importing MP3 and WAV files at 44.1khz. Because this is for an overhead audio system I really need audio to be better than "on hold" quality for a phone.

Please advise - Thanks,

Ryan

PS: This is a very urgent request for purchasing 85 licenses of the software product you recommend.

I'm trying to do this with a Sipura SPA-2000 and IMS as well.

IMS works fine as an extention on my axon pbx, and works properly on groups/queues for incoming calls, but my Sipura doesn't like it. I've tried 192.168.1.2:606, 197, and 197@192.168.1.2, all with no success. There is no firewall blocking any ports, and the Sipura and Axon/IMS are on the same network segment.

It would be nice if we could just make all on-hold on Axon PBX go straight to the specified IMS without depending on client MOH server configuration, if this method won't work, as it seems many of you are having this problem as well. Perhaps it could be done by extention?

Or is there a way to do this already that I'm not aware of?

Also, ExpressTalk does some rather odd things when attempting to connect to my IMS, but that's for another forum, as I think that issue is an ExtressTalk specific one.

We would buy this software in a minute if someone from this company would actually tell us how to get it to work with Sipura we have a spa9000 and spa942's I've tried everything to get it to work..

Could you guys atleast tell us it doesn't work with Sipura, so we can stop wasting our time? <_<

Thanks...

I think the only way this can work in your Spa is to put the extention of your IMS registered with Axon in your Spa.

Example: 197

197@192.168.xxx.xxx did not work for me

192.168.xxx.xxx@197 did not work

192.168.xxx.xxx:606 did not work

197 worked

Make sure that extention 197 or whatever you have chosen to use for your MOH is registered with Axon.

To see if it is registered login to your Axon web control panel, select extentions and look under Status, if you see

sip:197@xxx.xxx.xxx:port then you have sucessfully registered IMS with Axon.

If you don't see the status for extention 197, then do the following.

First shut down both Axon and IMS, then restart IMS first waite a few seconds and then Axon. (This is just one of the solutions I used to get me going)

From you Spa phone dial 197, if you hear music on hold, then you are in business the rest is up to you how you can use the hold button is it's difrent from phone to phone.

Hope this will help or at least get you in some directions, if it work please hola back!!!

Cheers

Phill

Finally! Thanks Phil.. I set up the default 197 inside the MOH software to log into Axon and I'm using 197@192.168.0.3:5070 in the MOH Server field in the SPA942 ext1 config page. And it's working perfectly!! Thanks again!!!

Hi Gray,

We have all kinds of SPA's and none worked with the thing you got it to work.

I have Axon installed and working,

I have The onhold player working.

In the onhold player I created an extention 197 and let it register on axon.

Axons states : Extention 197 is on sip:197@192.168.228.228:5071

on the external lines on my phones in the MOH server field I put : 197@192.168.228.228:5071

Still; when I'm transfering a call , the caller keeps on hearing thouse enoying "beep beep beep" and then silence.

Any Sugestions?

Tom

IMS cannot register with my SIP proxy (SPA9000) because its using the wrong contact IP address...

How do I change the contact IP address, my proxy gets the registration attempt from IMS but it is replying 200 OK to the public SIP address. You know that one can't access a WAN IP from the LAN...

The log on IMS says:

Have any of you managed to get the IMS MOH server to work with your Spa9000 and Spa400?
